YUM.  Oh god.  Can't decide if I like that or the one where Anders is shirtless and kneeling better.  I just want him to take his goddamn shirt off.

Hm that whole thing of Anders playing the lute idea...I could just see the song now... Templars roasting on an open fire, lyrium dripping from their toes...Yes I have a very morbid sense of humor here. ;)

That cracked me up when I read it...so I guess I am right there with you on the morbid sense of humor. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

I think it's hilarious too  I think he probably started trying to sing, failed, and my Lady Hawke laughed and told him to put his fingers to better use

Well Oghren did nickname him sparkle fingers didn't he? Teehee

Lol, my married Warden also flirted with Anders. I think she would be happy he finally found someone but not so happy with other developments. Man, now I really want Hawke and my Warden to meet. Anders and Hawke already got to meet Alistair (and his newly fugged up face). I demand a Warden/Hawke double date, even if it's in Flemeth's hero prison or whatever.

I...do not want to think of what will happen when my Warden and my Hawke meet.  My Warden is a more traditional Guile Hero, and my Hawke is a Type IV Antihero at best and an Azula-esque Villain Protagonist at worst.  I deliberately set them at cross-purposes.

Honestly, they'd probably try to kill each other.  And my Hawke would probably win.  Pit some with scruples against someone without and...yeah.

I'm honestly not sure what they'd feel about each other. My Warden was a super goody-goody except the whole dark ritual thing. :innocent: My Hawke on the other hand... she always tried to do what was good, but she was a very passionate person. She ended up getting whisked up in Anders' whole revolution and along the line did some sort of questionable things. However, considering my Warden considered Morrigan her best friend, I'm sure she'd be able to overlook slightly questionable scruples. She'd definitely understand doing questionable things for love.

I played my Warden and Hawke the same way...both tried to be good but when it came to love they just couldn't let go no matter the cost. My HNF lost her family...as well as Hawke...so I think mine could seriously relate to each other.

And according to Isabela, there's something very interesting he can do with lightning :P  Do tell, Anders.  Or rather, just show our Hawkes.  I'm sure they'll be less disapproving this time around.

It does reinforce everything that's great and broken about their relationship.  They have to run away because Anders can't put his love above his cause.  But despite all that, he and Hawke still love each other so much.  *sniffle*

Well, you know he kind of DID when he touched Hawke's cheek in the 2'nd romance scene, or at least glowing fingers at the very least.  Which I was all 'Aww, isn't that romantic?' Except someone on Youtube thought that might have been Justice touching Hawke for a moment, which makes me feel . . . odd.  O_o.

That little comic strip is great.   Hawke there kinda reminds me of Anomen from Shadows of Amn, oddly, but it's great.  Made me laugh, especially Anders patting his face while he's still going on about making progress. :P

I like how Fenris looks sort of like a scared cat in the second panel. Although, I think if I start comparing Fenris to cats, Anders' head might explode from conflicting emotions.

Very well said! What didn't help with my ending (sparing him and running off with him) was when we had been flirty and on the Dissent quest I was able to bring Anders back before Justice killed Ella the mage girl. So I guess my niave Hawke thinks she can fix a broken (or shall we say spirit-napped) man...too bad she wasn't given the opportunity to intervene before he blew up the Chantry. :(

::hilarious and adorable comic snip::

D'aww!  That's exactly how my Fenris rival-mancing mage is.  She's a big sweetie who is all about trying to hug the hate out of Fenris which makes Fenris angry (like everything does).

Anders the healer... yum.

Has anyone really thought about his specialization tree and how it relates to his character?  Most characters' specialization talents work together (or at least don't hinder each other), but Anders has Vengeance and Panacea that work in direct opposition to each other.  Inner conflict indeed...

He does have an inner conflict that he's been losing since he took on Justice. I think there needs to be some sort of DLC that focuses on that but it wouldn't work for those who killed him. I suppose one can dream. I still say road trip to Tevinter to 'exorcise' the demon from Anders.Tevinter or bust!

Yeah, that was my thoughts throughout the game the first time through. "Okay, I know Anders is going batty but my love can conquer all, I can keep him sane! C'mon Hawke, just hold him a little longer."

Then I got to the part with that mage girl and I was like "Sweet it's working!"

...so much for that. <_<

edit: failing at quoting tonight.

There are some other trees (warrior ones, I think) that have sustained modes that you can't use at the same time.  But those are just modes, not entire branches of a tree.

I mostly use the Panacea branch.  You have to practically be on top of Anders to get the benefit of Panacea, but Panacea Anders standing right next to Merrill and Hawke in their respective blood magic modes basically makes for a mage party of unstoppable death.

Yeah I know...the look on her face when she told him love is more important in the break up conversation was so sad. But one can only hope that after the events of DAO 2 Anders/Justice finally realizes how important Hawke is...she pretty much f'ed up her life to spare him and be with him.

Though I will say (even though I think act 3 was rushed) I was suprised that my companions didn't throw more of a fit for me sparing him. I was max friendship with them all...I figured out who to take on what quests to avoid rivalry points...and they were just like ok crazy Anders blew up the chantry...let's go kick some templar arse. And then run off together in the hills!

LOL....Anders being a damsel in distress. Somehow, it doesn't sound so farfetched. He struck me as the type when he fainted in Awakening.
