Who can blame him given Hawke's body model?  Girl has some serious curves going on there, and those clingy robes and catsuits certainly don't help matters.

I missed that kind of banter.  There was a lot of nice long banter in Origins referring to your relationship, and it was always my favorite.  Now it seems like they don't comment on it much.

Guys, random banter from Varric:

Varric:I am writing a story about a hopelessly romantic apostate waging a war against forces he can't possibly defeat.

Anders: What do you mean he can't possibly defeat?

Varric: Well it's not a good story unless the hero dies.

... Oh I see what you're doing Bioware, ha ha NOT funny.

I thought the same, after my first playthrough I started hating that banter...

Quick question for you Anders nuts - is meant to be any kissy scene in the Act III Questioning Beliefs (after you help him plant explosives in the Chantry)? I want moar delicious cutscenes :(

There are no more kisses for Anders after the Act II love scene on the firendship path, unless you count the fade to black moment after you give him the house key right at the beginning of Act III.

Lack of smooches on demand in this game makes me sadface and reload one particular save far too often.

I'm glad I'm not the only one /shame

Even just some indication that the characters are in a relationship beyond party banter would be nice. Like when Anders comes back with his, "There you are!" moment in the chantry, it would have been a nice addition to have him slip his arm around Hawke as he greets the Grand Cleric. Also, that moment when you go talk to Varric and Anders is there talking about the Blackmarsh, having him just leave without any sort of acknowledgement sucks.

THIS. So hard! If Anders' romance storyline in DA2 was done in as detailed a way as the DA:O romances... *shudder* I might squee so hard I wouldn't be able to breathe.

Reminds me of the Alistair/Morrigan banter where Morrigan hints on "saving the world or the one you love."

Yeah, when I heard Varric say that, early in Act 1 no less, I was all "Dammit, BioWare! Screw you! I will not let Anders die!"

And when they do comment, it's almost always because Anders is they are metaphorically pissing on Hawke to mark their territory.

Swaying, womanly hips for the win!  I so very much miss being able to play a dwarf, with those curves.  Given a choice, I would rather have a dwarf woman's proportions than an elf's.  Can you see an elf doing Queen Latifah's "When You're Good to Mama" number in Chicago?  I think not.  edit: No disrespect to you elf-proportioned ladies, we are all lovely in our way.  Variety for the win.

Now to get back on topic...
What holds Anders' staff up?  (Yes, yes, Hawk's charms, in bed.  Pipe down.)  His coat has lots of buckles and straps (so delightfully mentioned in this fanfic), but I don't see a staff harness.  Not on any of the mages.  Do staves just magically float near your back when not in use, because they're magic?

You're hardly the only one.  We won't judge you.  We're too busy reloading to judge.  Also, you have an email.

I just got a really funny image of a blonde dog in mage robes lifting his leg on Hawke.
And a white dog with spiky armor showing his teeth at him.
While Hawke goes :pinched:

So today I did the Justice Anders quest as I went to the bone bit with him, Merril and Sebastian. Seb says the following "wow I can't believe people choose to work in these conditions"

People CHOOSE to work in these conditions??

Oh gawd I hate him more everytime he opens his mouth.

I totally cackled. I love the way she delivers it, all deadpan and matter of fact.

Except that Anders is a cat.  A tomcat ^_^

And Hawke can calm him down by rubbing behind his ears and stabbing a templar every time he sits on her head.

I can't believe I didn't hear this line after three playthroughs, but thought I'd share. Going to start the quest for recruiting Anders, I ignored the "lose him to the Templars?" option and went straight for the charming option and got this nice little exchange.

Hawke: Tell me he has nice eyes and a killer smile and I'll marry him on the spot!
Lirene: He does have nice eyes but I've never seen him smile

I liked it better than how that conversation normally plays out. Hawke's comment made me laugh.

I was also disappointed how few banters there were about the relationship. I would cycle out different people all the time in DA:O just to see what they had to say about the different relationships. It was certainly nice that you could have Anders move in but it's not like it changed much of anything. You couldn't talk to him more there, or ninja kiss him, or anything.

Oh well. More for my imagination to play with I suppose.

I now choose that line ALL the time, just for FHawke's Delivery and Lirene's laugh.

LMFAO cat spraying is a little bit more gross than leg-lifting.
They do this tail-vibratey thing and spray this gelatinous foul smelling liquid that smells like cat pee onto their unfortunate victim.
I would rather not imagine Anders doing that. :D:D

(Templar thing is totally true, though)

::snerk::

I can just hear Anders yelling "HAWKIE" in a Bill voice.
