My Hawke would of preferred eating Kerras' limbs themselves.

This is a rather strange comment to be on the top of the page.

I think this post would rapidly devolve into gorn if I described what my Hawke wanted to do to Kerras and Alrik.  Suffice to say that she would've made Quentin look tame.  She's a little nuts, and they made her more than a little angry.

I'm upset I couldn't use the murder knife.

Especially after reading Bethany's letter.

On the flip side, you got to use the murder... dagger?  sword? bludgeoning staff?

Alrik was scum. He's a rapist and makes tranquils out of harrowed mages for fun. I was surprised Anders held back on dismembering him piece by piece on the spot.

In my game, that's because Isabela used Twin Fangs on him, and cut his f***ing balls off before slitting his throat.  Never was I more proud of Izzy.  Not even when she gave back the Tome of Koslun.

Not as enjoyable.

I do love killing him with my rogue though. Throw the Gauntlet followed by everyone beating the crap out of him. I try to make sure he's the last one standing so he knows his death is coming for him.

Gaaaaah, I'm trying to play DA:O, but every time I look at Loghain, I can't get that picture out of my head. It's very distracting.

The Morrighain thing? I may never play DA:O ever again just because of that image. *shudder* It was a traumatic experience.

I have to say I was totally and absolutely thrilled that Anders is willing to be with Hawke, male or female, I always figured he had something going on in DAO: Awakenings. I even enjoyed imagining things with him. *sighs in pleasure* But then bam he's available in DA2. I still can't believe it. I have to keep pinching myself. It seems that some people have a hard time dealing with the things he does, but I don't think it's much different than what a grey warden is required to do. In Anders mind (after merging with Justice) it is his duty to make a change for all mages. Depending on who I am roleplaying as I both disagree and agree with his choices, but personally I can totally relate to where he's coming from. Don't get me wrong, I feel for the innocent and not so innocent victims; however, I wish I had half the courage of these heroes and champions of ours do; to step up and change something through my reallife actions would be awesome, not going to happen, but it would be awesome.

Guys, random banter from Varric:

Varric:I am writing a story about a hopelessly romantic apostate waging a war against forces he can't possibly defeat.

Anders: What do you mean he can't possibly defeat?

Varric: Well it's not a good story unless the hero dies.

... Oh I see what you're doing Bioware, ha ha NOT funny.

Hawke's response.  Remind me never to let you write my biography. Oh wait....

Welcome to the thread, DreGregoire! It's nice to see more people coming to appreciate what Anders did for mages, despite the cost. And I know you're not the only one who's glad that he's an LI this time around!

Also, going through my saves, and now that Howden's voicing Anders, I can't help but imagine some of the dialogue from the prisoner at Ostagar as coming from our mage, given his own experiences being locked up.

Exactly, it is nice that at least in a game we can change a world for the better.  Also your take on Anders in nice, I didn't think of it that way before, maybe it is the Warden in him too, the Commander rubbed off on him.  Of course Justice takes most the credit.

I'm sorry was there a point to posting that? I missed it laughing at the prisoner's priapism.

It took a while for me to get used to his new voice. At first it bugged me. Not in a "rawr crap voice do not want!" way, but in a "argh ragh this is not what I knew and loved!" way. It grew on me. But it did take a while for me to actually recognize the voice itself. Few times random people started speaking the same time he did and I couldn't tell which voice belonged to who without subtitles on.

I didn't notice it either.
That's more because I'm just that sad, actually.

Isn't as bad as that mod with King Cailan in Return to Ostagar.

I played Awakening only twice quickly long ago, so I didn't even remember Anders's voice though I had a impression that I liked him a lot while playing Awakening. So I didn't have "getting used" time luckily. :innocent: I love Adam Howden's voice and acting anyway.
