Anders and Garrus are tied for favorite LIs at the moment. Anders is just a perfect storm of things I love in a character and there's a depth of emotion and an intensity to him and his romance that is so appealing. As long as it's a video game and I don't have to deal with the fallout, of course.

Garrus/Shepard is much closer to the sorts of relationships I prefer in real life (only with more potent badassery). As much as I squee over The Kiss and enjoy obsessing over Anders, I don't think any moment in a video game relationship has ever felt as right as when Shepard calls Garrus an ugly son of a **** and he laughs it off. *is weird*

That being said, I've not dedicated a year of my life to writing about Relationship Garrus (mainly because of cloacas), so Anders has the edge there.

Cullen romance? Blarghghg. Not terribly interested in that, though I do like the under eye circles. Can't... quite figure out why.

Zevran and Anders are my favorites. Zevran because I can give him tall human ladies to be depraved with and then they can run off and **** a swath across Thedas and troll the Crows. Anders because Anders.

It took a while for me to get used to his new voice. At first it bugged me. Not in a "rawr crap voice do not want!" way, but in a "argh ragh this is not what I knew and loved!" way. It grew on me. But it did take a while for me to actually recognize the voice itself. Few times random people started speaking the same time he did and I couldn't tell which voice belonged to who without subtitles on.

I played Awakening only twice quickly long ago, so I didn't even remember Anders's voice though I had a impression that I liked him a lot while playing Awakening. So I didn't have "getting used" time luckily. :innocent: I love Adam Howden's voice and acting anyway.

Have you heard the cry in battle does if Hawke falls?  I turned everything down and dialog up so I could here his sorrow and fear! (I know I am horrid)

No, and Anders let me die in the Harrowman basement and didn't yell out then either. I think it's because I forced him to go on Seb's quest and he was none too happy about it. I was like, "Touche."

All time favorite romances?

I'd have to say Zevran, Anders and Sky.

Zevran and Anders are pretty close in their race for the top position but I really loved the way the Warden could slowly encourage Zevran to change his ways and, in the end, Zev was really a better person than before, thanks to the love of the Warden. Anders, on the other hand, spirals no matter what, despite how much he and Hawke love each other.

They are two incredibly compelling and emotional romances, though.

Okay, so I kind of dropped off the face of the BSN after DA2 was released, but I would just like to inform you all that this is the best thread and I really love how everyone embraces Anders'... oddities. (Seriously Anders, you're awesome and everything but you are so ridiculous.)

Finally got to the romance part with Anders =) it's so sweet! With this Hawke it's rivalmance, think I'm going to have to make a mage for him and try the romance next. That kiss is just *wow*. Good thing I have done the game once before, think I would have had a hearthattack in the end otherwise. Always make the first run blind =) the chantrysstuff in the end...... I did not see that one coming. Don't know how my Hawke will take it. We'll see. First she got a little bit of happy time.

Also, going through my saves, and now that Howden's voicing Anders, I can't help but imagine some of the dialogue from the prisoner at Ostagar as coming from our mage, given his own experiences being locked up.

I don't get very many lines when I or anyone else die, but there's some. Including Anders.

Anders is the best by far. Never get tired on the "No! Don't you dare!" Is he yelling it to Hawke or who ever killed her?

I am in the group that doesn't quite get the appeal of Cullen. Or, I can see why others might like him, but I just don't.

As for three favorite LIs, definitely Anders, Alistair, and Garrus. Alistair because he was funny and sweet. Anders because... gah, everything. Garrus, because it's a healthy yet super badass relationship. Plus, it feels so good to escape to that stability after everything in DA2.

I don't know which of those three would be my favorite. In real life, a relationship like the one with Garrus is definitely the most appealing. In a fictional world though, I cannot deny the emotional oomph that is the Andersmance. That... and Anders is so very hot.

I never liked Cullen, especially after his nice little insanity trip in Origins. That said, I found him strangely... sexy while he was beating the crap out of Wilmod. I can't really explain it. Maybe I've just been seduced by that voice and now just automatically equate it to "sex on a stick". All things considered though, he was a rather... "cool" character by the end of DAII, so I'll give credit where it's due.

Personally though, I'm a Kaidan lover. I have a weakness for the voice of Sbarge. I liked Carth too, but I won't get into that here... *dodges the incoming hate*

While Alistair is undoubtedly that amazing White Knight every little girl secrectly wants, Anders is just... ugh. I've wanted to jump Anders since the first time he opened his mouth in Awakening. Seriously.

I feel bad sometimes that Alistair has been so thoroughly displaced for my affections. I really loved romancing him, especially with my broken, skanky Cousland who had no interest in him until he responded so well to her smartassery, but...Anders. He had me at existing in the Awakening trailer.
