its generic compared to Fenris true. But as I said before i think Gideon Emery's voice is too rich. I love his voice... I could listen to it all day but its bigger than Fenris... its upstaging him. Where Howden's voice makes Anders a whole. It fits.

Do I make sense?

Not gonna lie. I wasn't romancing Fenris, I was romancing Balthier. A very whiny Balthier but still.

Everything thats gone wrong can be blamed on the Wardens. If Ser-Pounce-A-Lot hadn't been taken away from Anders, he wouldn't have been unhappy enough to merge with Justice. Life wouldn't have lost it's meaning. He wouldn't have blown up the chantry.

In fact, I bet if Ser-Pounce-A-Lot returned to Anders after the Chantry had blown up, I bet the Chantry would have reformed back together and Elthina would've miraculously come back to life just by pawing her in the face. Meredith and Orsino would've overcome their differences because they would've been overwhelmed by the cuteness, and Anders would've been SO happy. So happy that Justice would change from Vengeance to Joy. He would've split from Anders and become a giggling spiritual blob that destroys Meredith's lyrium Soul Edge.

Hawke and company would just stand there completely stupefied at the power of Ser-Pounce-A-Lot. Then Flemeth would show up and reveal to everyone that he's really the Maker. Or something riddiculous like that.

Daaaaaaw. Now I have a little fanfic going in my head where Hawke's babying a sick Anders and I bet that boy gets sick ALL the time considering the conditions he lives in. I also bet Anders is the type of person who takes horrible care of himself. Poor Hawke, doctors always make the worst patients.

D'awww. This is working against my already feeble restraint against writing more fanfiction. But I must resist. Otherwise I'll end up writing a novel worth of stuff but never finish anything because I have zero attention span.

Although, this makes me wonder. If Anders got really sick, could he heal himself? He is a healer and all, but wouldn't that just drain him of what energy he had left? Bah! Thinking about these things just makes me want to write more. :pinched:

Man. I wish I could play FF12.

I like the designs. My brain goes "holeeeeee ****, colour! Pattern! Shiny!" and then I try to play and it's like, "uhhhhh, I hate fighting, things need to stop attacking me, I just want to run to the next story part."

I bring you Anders scratching his ear. Not for the faint of heart.

(If you were voice-kinking Adam Howden this is a good way to cure yourself :?)

I'm going to guess the same way anyone deals with response to their work, be it artistic, scientific, romantic, whatever:

Heavy drinking.

In that case I'm surprised they're not all in rehab.

You do, and I second that. I like Fenris, but I have to say, I cannot take him wholly seriously as a character, and I guess you just gave me another clue on why that is so. You are right, it seems the voice seems to be bigger than himself. When I hear this voice, I see a different character, not Fenris, it is always something of a cracked vision of him, if you know what I mean.
Howden makes Anders  believable, human. Just as Steve Valentine managed with Alistair, or Seth Green with Joker.

I support this theory. Ser Pounce saves the world. Plus, the idea of Anders reuniting with Pounce fills me with all kinds of joy.

Hey, if he can rid himself of his own STDs, why not?

On the topic of Basch: I'd like to thank Mr. Yoshida for giving him such a manly rainbow colored potholder. It beats Anders' bib.

I couldn't finish FF12. I got to a big open beach area, and suddenly I was bored and I couldn't go back to it. And now I'd have to start from the beginning because I don't remember a damn thing about the game. :(

Depends on how much of a cure all you take magic. I accept that it forces cells to regenerate at an super accelerated rate, but killing off infection?  Eh, iunno. He might have super special awesome antibiotics though since this is Thedas and we have potions and poultices that can force wounds to close at same accelerated rate as magic. Yes, I have indeed thought about this a little too hard for the sake of fanfic

The best I could manage was the first time they let you out into the open desert with Penelo and Van and I got bored. At the time I was playing FFXI so it felt too much of a copy of that game combat wise and the story didn't engage me at all.

Yeah, but he seems to mostly cure illnesses in his clinic. The very first time you see him in game, I assumed he was curing that boy of some grave illness/infection. It took a lot out of him, which is why I said I didn't know if he could do the same on himself.

Plus, of course, he seems to make STDs go away on a constant basis in his clinic. I would guess those were mostly dealt with through magical balms, ointments, etc.

Hah. Always reminds me of that line from 1408:

Dude: So you're not a smoking man. Tell me, are you a drinking man?
Writer *duh voice*: Well I said I was a writer, didn't I?

It's funny because it's true.

Lovely <3 Can healers even heal flu and stuff? I mean can they heal anything, not just open wounds and stuff? There's no flu shot specialization. They're not doctors so they don't know of germs and stuff :?

There might possibly be a Balthier poster (and Fran, and Ashe) hanging on the wall in my computer room where I was playing DA2.  During certain scenes, it was like a bizarre kind of sensurround.

I would happily add DA2 character posters to the mix, for the record.  *looks askance at BioWare*

I remember having a hard time getting through that part, but I think the gameplay was fun enough that I didn't mind it too much. But after about 30 more hours, I guess I'd had enough? I hit the big open area right around the time the spring semester started up, so I think that also got in the way.
