I'm totally opposite, once I play through the game with a character, that is it. They are done, mistakes and all. I will remember them fondly. But it's time for a NEW CHARACTER YAY.

I did give my Shepards different nicknames, though. There's MANSHEP and PigShep (he has a piggy nose when you look at him straight on, he looks good in profile though!) and SallyShep and B*tchShep.

This is usually how I do it.  I feel like the first time is their canon story, and if I try to replay them, I get all neurotic over "messing" that up.  I go "OH MY GOD did Kitty bribe this guy or not?!  I can't remember!  I'M RUINING HER!"

The result is a very strange mish-mash of AUs in my head.  I think I know what Anders feels like having another entity's opinions in his head.  It's very confusing.  XD  "Ah yes, Jowan, my Warden's platonic childhood friend who was probably executed after poisoning the Arl but who my other Warden busted out of the Circle later and ran away with because she loved him."

It's even worse because I want to write a fanfic about GW Carver meeting my Tabris, except my Tabris is technically dead or doesn't exist in the file where I make him a Grey Warden because that was my Amell import.  >_<  I make my own brain hurt.

My little brother just broke my only controller.
Can someone say...rage?
And I was JUST finishing my LAST playthrough. Last time it auto saved was a whole half hour ago. :( I'm going to cry.

Damn!

And that is why I never let my brother near my stuff.

He's two.
And my BF was asleep and didn't catch him nomming on my controller while I talked to my mom in the kitchen. And as my mom was collecting him to go home, she noticed that he had managed to almost completely pull my toggle-thing off and saturated my start button. Now my start button doesn't work and I can't move.

<_<

Ack, that's awful D:

My brother's 15, and he still wrecks my stuff ><

So this is a bit random, but does anyone else think that This Is War fits better for DA2 even though it was the trailer music for DA:O? I just noticed how well the lyrics match up with Anders' insane revolution.

I can see that, but I definitely see it more for DA: O. I guess I just don't see Anders having that much of a unifying force. Plus, I saw my Warden as being more willing to reach out to waaaay more people than Anders.

That, and the Blight is his, cliche alert, moment to live, die and fight.

As a professional younger sibling myself, I can safely say that I've never wrecked any of my brother's gaming stuff.
I mean, I don't have a death wish.

....

I did, however, steal borrow all his comics, his Magic cards, and his Prisoner DVDs.
Except replace 'DVD' with 'VHS', on account of being ten at the time. >.>

ANYWAY. That Anders. Wotta guy, amirite?

I have a question, from a friend.
That I don't have an answer to.

Is there an explanation at all for any of the other epilogues in Awakening? Like where it basically suggests that he has to go back to the Circle and all that? Or does it just go unexplained?
The friend in question is completely gay for Anders, just a little frustrated that only one of the epilogue choices were explained. He was a hardcore Origins/Awakening fiend. lol

Maybe not a unifying force, but certainly a rallying cry.  After what happens in the Gallows, everyone is forced to pick a side.

I suppose since in my game, my Hawke was as much of a revolutionary as him but had much more popular support, it makes a lot more sense.  She pulls the mages together and inspires them by example.

Even then, while it's a rallying cry, I feel like it's more for fighting a war. Like, "hey, get your head out of your asses, stop fighting, we've got to take care of this problem that's after us all, you guys can go back to squabbling afterwards" while Anders' act (and perhaps your Hawke's) is more "hey, get your head out your asses and look at this problem".

That, and the song makes me think of being a teenager, and that just makes me think of my Warden and Alistair. :D

Since Anders is a grey warden he doesn't need to go back to the Circle, he doesn't belong to the Circle anymore as the Principle of Grey Warden, I think.
If the epilogue said he died during the last battle, then he did explain what happened to him there when you met Nathaniel in the deep loads in Act III.

I find a lot of 30 Seconds to Mars songs fit DA2. Especially Hurricane.

Well Thomas was ****ing because he never finished Anders' companion quest in one playthrough, so he got taken by the Templars.
Yet it was never mentioned when he transferred the save. I explained to him that the epilogue itself says he vanished, but he's like, "OH WTF. Why doesn't he mention it then? Even just a 'well the Warden I traveled with was an ass and wouldn't help me, so I had to skip out on the templars until I finally came here."
LMFAO. I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed, too. More mention of the Warden would've been great.

I think a lot of Rise Against lyrics apply to Anders's cause.  I always think of "Prayer of the Refugee" and "Give It All".

In terms of Anders's mental state and relationships, I think about the band Boys Night Out in general, if anyone is into screamy emo/punk music.  >_>  The whole album Trainwreck very much reminds me of the Dissent quest and Anders's terror of hurting Hawke.

I'm more like Sjofn.  Every one of my characters is a new person who goes her own way (sometimes by being a guy).  And some of them get their own fanfics, too.  My snarky Shep has half a novel to date that's silly and filled with Kaidan love but angsty-Shep got with Thane in her fic.  For some reason only my Aeducan got fic for DA:O and DA:A (with Anders, TYVM).  That's probably because I didn't give in to the writing urge until I'd started ME after I discovered how awesome Bioware is with DA.

But each of them is distinct in my head.  I'll think, "Oh, pissy Hawke would never have fallen for that!" or something along those lines when goody-two-shoes Hawke agrees to some stupid quest.  :D

There is a short story about Anders in the time between after-Awakening and before-DA2. If Anders got taken by the Templars in Awakening, I think one of NPC(or possibly epilogue..) said that he escaped again or something like that.

I've had Sammy Davis, JR's I've got you under my skin in my head for forever because of DA2. Davis' version is waaaaay better than Sinatra's version because the latter is too poppy. Plus, Sammy D's version has the creepy added layer of Micheal C Hall being a mind controlling creepster over it. So there's that.

Not that anyone here seems against profanity and violence. XD

I'm a Disturbed geek. BIGTIME.
When I actually read the lyrics to both songs I think they're a pretty good fit. :D

Holy crap this thread moves fast! Ah, all the Anders love...

During the Justice quest I was afraid that once Anders and Justice were split that Anders would dump my Hawke. I was actually relieved that he was making explosives, d'oh!
