Right, there was something I wanted to discuss!

Did any of you find it out of character for Anders to be so happy if you give Fenris to Danarius? I mean, yes, Anders hates Fenris, and doesn't care for him, but such a betrayal is an evil, mean thing to do however you look at it, so why isn't Anders worried that Hawke is capable of such a thing? It really bugs me. I personally find it very OOC.

No I agree.  I know they didn't get along, because they had polar views on things, but yeah that was really shallow and mean even for him, kinda like when he was like "So lets just kill Thrask for there more then likely blood mages kay?"

I was like WTF man!  He did have some moments where it felt like the writers had a brain fart or something.

I've never been able to give Fenris to Danarius, i just can't do it, but yeah i know Anders doesn't like Fenris but it sounds odd if he's actually happy about it.  But I wonder how happy Fenris would be to turn Anders over to the templars given half the chance.

One of the things I liked about Fenris was when he told Sebastian to eff off when that two faced prig tried to convince him to turn the apostates of the party in.

But yeah, I have no clue what the hell the writers were smoking. It's rather hypocritical of Anders to be happy about someone being returned to slavery when he's been spending the entire game bemoaning about mage freedom <_<

Actually in one of the banters Sebastian suggests to Fenris that they should turn Merril and Anders over to the templars. And Fenris flat out refuses, saying that he wouldn't betray them, even if only for Hawke.

edit: hehe, ninja'd by sasperella. But yeah, I can't stand Sebastian. He's such a hypocrite.

Which Fenris believes mages should not have. At least, not in the same way Anders believes they should.
He does have a much more... Narrow view in this game the more you go on.

But yes, I have no doubt Fenris would make a remark just as snarky and show off those dance routines he spoke about if you could give both Anders and Merrill to the templars.

Ah right, I remember Seb talking about it and was so disgusted I don't think I noticed the responses lol. I suppose by act 3 Anders isn't exactly himself, but yeah it seems odd that he'd happily agree to it, it does seem OOC.

Yeah I only really used Seb last playthrough as they've fixed the achievements but I avoid taking him most of the time and let him have his hissy fit and run off at the end of the game to raise his army.

I don't think Fenris refused to turn them in over any sort of freedom-for-all sentiment as much as he wouldn't cross Hawke. If Hawke willingly turned Anders and Merrill over to the templars though, that would probably elicit a different response from him.

Anders' reaction to handing Fenris over just made me want to reach into my PC and slap him, even though I would never -really- hand Fenris to Danarius :/

Take him with you for the Night Terrors quest!  If you try to take him into the fade he freaks out and refuses to go and you get like +20 rivalry with him.

Yeah. It's pretty bad and there's not really any way to rationalize or defend his behavior there other than to say WTF MATE? <_<
