Did any of you find it out of character for Anders to be so happy if you give Fenris to Danarius? I mean, yes, Anders hates Fenris, and doesn't care for him, but such a betrayal is an evil, mean thing to do however you look at it, so why isn't Anders worried that Hawke is capable of such a thing? It really bugs me. I personally find it very OOC.

I found this to be very odd and OOC too. Yes he's struggling mentally against his situation which might make him say and do things that ordinarily he wouldn't, but then that in itself I think makes it even more strange - at this point he's heavily influenced by Justice, would it be "just" to hand someone over to a former master? I would think that Justice would be raging against any thoughts of handing someone over to a life of slavery.

On a more fangirl-y note, am loving the screenshots *drools over smirk and realises she has an obsession*

I think the only time I can say Anders was really "cruel" was saying that the world was poorer for having her in it instead of the keeper while she stands over her just killed corpse.

The telling her of how being possessed isn't exactly a good feeling and you kinda kill people and not know you did until after the fact was trying to drill a point into her head. But I think sometimes he may feel like he's yelling at himself when he talks to her.

Oh, I actually enjoyed that banter when he scares her with what being possessed feels like. I don't think he's cruel there either. I was mostly talking about him being cruel after Marethari's death.

Another WTF moment with Anders for me: when he said: 'You can't be jealous with someone for sleeping with Isabela. She's like a side dish, she comes with the main meal'.

Seriously WHAT THE HELL WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE HER LIKE THAT! Ugh! Another moment where I seriously wanted to punch Anders.

edit: @Threeparts and obnoxiousgas: we all thought of the same thing, heh. It's sad but the more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to believe that's the truth of it.

@threeparts, obnoxiousgas and inzhuna, really good points, hadn't thought of it like that. Anders himself says very early on that Justice/Vengeance has no concept of mercy and so seeing Fenris being turned over to his former master would actually fit into that notion of a type of retribution for his accusations and general anti-mage beliefs. Very interesting!

It does make it a bit better, but then Isabela never takes offense for such remarks. Still pisses me off.

Re: the Fenris hand over, isn't the exact dialogue "I thought I was the only one thinking that?" not "Good!"? Which is slightly different to YAY SLAVERY.

There was a discussion about this in another thread, actually, and the conclusion I came to was that at this stage Hawke, whether romanced or not, is pretty much the only thing keeping Anders a) sane and safe from the Templars, so it's actually very dangerous for him to disagree or appear to disagree with anything Hawke says or does. So it's possible (although also pretty morally off) for him to be jumping in with an agreement out of self-preservation.

It was also pointed out that no matter how jerk-y Anders' reaction to you handing Fenris over to Danarius is, there's still one person in this situation who is MORE jerk-y, and that's your Hawke, for turning Fenris over to Danarius .

I wish I knew how to take screenshots, is it just the same as printscreen? I'm working on some Anders art at the moment but would love to do more when done so being able to take screenshots would be helpful!

Yes, that's the exact quote, and it's still horrible, and he says it with a smile.
I disagree about the agreeing in the sake of self-preservation bit. He always voices his opinion whenever Hawke does something he doesn't agree with.
Hehe, I agree about Hawke being the bigger jerk, even if that's beside the point. I swear I reloaded though! I only did it for research!

I could never get their stupid caption button to work I use Fraps it is my hero  But I think the default for the game is printscreen.

Hang on. Doesn't that follow that he should therefore keep quiet when Hawke tries to comfort Fenris by saying he still has friends? Why would he speak his mind there but not while handing him over? Because it's a statement of sentimentality on Hawke's part, rather than a decisive action? It's an interesting idea, though.

And I agree. If you're a big enough jerk to hand Fenris over, then I don't think any of the remarks your companions could make there would ever come close to reaching Hawke's own level of jackassery.
