20 years is enough to make full-grown child .. what?
seriously though, Justice says he will take any means to achieve the Justice he seeks. It seems .. he is now more of the type who thinks that small sacrifice is inevitable for the greater cause. Oh shoot, I picture sister petrice here.

lol. Now I'm picturing Anders as a father...
Should prove entertaining! XD

I wonder, would all their children be mages if Hawke is a mage? (Little blonde apostate-families... XD)

(And that's IF they can conceive. Children of warden x normal person relationships are pretty rare, and miscariage theories seem very popular.)

Is it bad that I laughed when Petrice died...?

Not at all.. she was a bad, bad lady.

I got depressed when Anders mentions 'our children' because a) of the warden thing B) by the end of them game my Hawke is pushing 30, I assume and c) Arn't we about to leave on a dangerous quest? A good 3-8 more years before we can settle down.

So it's like *pats* There, there. In another life, dear Anders.:crying:

But if say, there really was an option, I wouldn't want it to be another 180 degree turn for Anders regarding his personality. Justice and the actions enabled by him certainly must leave scars on Anders' view of the world, his beliefs and goals,.

But... in the end, I prefer the idea of Justice and Anders being merged together until Anders dies, most favourably in a quite tragic way. Like being struck down by Hawke, or going mad one day, or commiting suicide so he wouldn't put anybody in danger, or going down in a blaze, taking a lot of templars with him.
I'm a sucker for romances that end in tragedy.

I've seen this scenario posted on LJ: there is a ritual to separate Justice and Anders but it would wipe Anders's memories.
*shudder* I hope Hawke never has to make that choice.

My Mage Hawke would have no doubt. He will do the ritual to save him from Vengeance. Even if it means that Anders will not remember him. And then I'd like to think that they can rebuild what they had... :innocent:

I oddly picture Justice in a cat to be like Nibbler from Futurama. "YOU WILL SUBMI..." "Aw, aren't you cute?" *cuddle cat, he purrs*

I think people's opinions of Vengeance/Justice are colored by whether or not they agree with a bloody revolution. And there is a reason we have to make that decision before we find out that Meredith was crazy and had to be stopped one way or another. Everyone who thinks there could have been a peaceful solution before learning about her madness must surely admit that the 'peaceful solution' involved removing her.

Have you guys read the codex on the former Viscount? Meredith killed him when he proved to be a tyrant, but not before he tried to get the templars thrown out of Kirkwall. I have to be honest, I don't think the idol made her insane as much as it aggravated her condition beyond what any reasonable person could handle.

Well... at least Anders will be able to control Justice now! XD

Meredith watched her apostate sister turn into an abomination and slaughter her home village. (or something like that)
So yeah, I second the "already-crazy" theory.

Not wanting to lose Anders to Justice is not restricted to only Hawke the friendship path.

Oh... OK! ^_^

I didn't get that line on the rivalry path and I thought it was something specifically related to the friendship path.

Anyhow, I can see a Hawke (generally speaking) wanting to separate Justice from Anders on both paths.

It doesn't mean if one line's there or not; the whole rivalry path is actually Hawke actively disapproving of what Anders did with Justice, and wanting Anders to be free of him; whereas on friendship you support Anders's decision, so he embraces Justice more. But I know there's disagreement on which is better for Anders.

Woah, that's harsh... but I guess it wouldn't be the most brutal sacrifice... at least he would live, he may have a horriblly slow learning process and scarred character, but better than nothing, right?

You know, what if seperating Justice from Anders would mean to cut him from the Fade entirely? Now that would be awful....

That crossed my mind, too. It's incredibly cruel. Being made Tranquil is Anders's worst fear ever.

I never interpreted the Friendship Romance as agreeing with him about Justice.

My Mage Hawke agreed with him about the issue of the mages' freedom, about the equal rights that mages should have, about the Chantry and the templars. And while my Hawke perfectly understood why Anders wanted to merge with Justice, he never approved, especially later in the game, of what Vengeance was doing to him. And he always said it to Anders himself.

You can even warn Cullen after Anders plants his bomb in the chantry and he knows you're talking about Anders. You can just turn around a leave. It's awful.

Especially when Anders is right there.

Really?! I am so going to do that on my pro-templar playthrough. The one that never seems to happen. I keep playing through until the first talk with Anders and my resolution crumbles.

I always end up playing the exact same game. I feel so lame, but I can't help it.

I remember my first thought was:

"Wait. Children!? Anders...? How come we never had this discussion before...? (Seriously, the start of a battle is a terrible place to plan children... not that it stopped Morrigan or anything.)"

Then the warden stuff sunk in...

Maybe they'll be lucky and there will be a next life... :(

Yahtzee waxes philosophical about the homosexuals relationships in DA2.

Here.

But then there was Anders. Anders, with his
coquettish rosy cheeks and his slightly dodgy voice acting and his
well-groomed hair that all the other characters say is blonde but is
blatantly ginger. Oh, Anders, why did my spirit leap so when you
revealed yourself, early in the game, to be a friend of Dorothy? Why did
you quickly become an almost permanent mainstay of my regular
adventuring party? Well, I can answer that one: because he was the only
character with Healing magic, but shut up, I'm role playing.

It sucks that killing justice in the fade would be a much simpler solution than separating them.
On the other hand, he is corrupted so maybe that is what he would want.

Conner style exorcism anyone?

Yep, it's hard to have a child with a warden partner 8( ... Anders being a father will give him another reason to live and be sane though. I really loved when he said, "We are fighting for a world where our children can be born mages and free. Ten years, a hundred years from now, someone like me will love someone like you and there will be no templars to tear them apart." (Jesus, can't believe I've memorized that whole thing)
I DAMN HATE when sister petrice says, "Earn your reward ...." I'm in my 6th playthroughs and I freaking want to punch her face whenever she says that.

Lol that's true. On the other hand there isn't a whole heck of a lot that is discussed in the game. Maybe in the 3 years of being live-in love monkeys you guys had all your kids names picked out XD.
In my head there are cutscenes where anders declares "Darling, that cobbler was DELICIOUS! Friday should be cobbler night! Indeed!" Well maybe not, but some cute domestic banter would make my heart warm and fuzzy.

I always read this in Yahtzee-voice and crack up. My coworkers are watching me.

Much like Alistair, he got often got struck with lighting that made his hair look more strawberry blond than anything. But, y'know, Strawberry-Blondie doesn't roll off the tongue quite so well. (Now, to raise the more important question of why Varric calls him Blondie when they have the exact same hair colour...)

That was my exact thought when I first heard him say it in the game xD

Alistair is called Blondie once in DA:O, too.  Maybe there's just one really misinformed hairstylist in Thedas.

I'm tempted to change either Varric's hair to make it darker or Anders' to make it lighter, but I'm so ridiculously attached to their current models that I don't think I could change a thing.

Yes, he's on my "Freebie Five" as well. To be honest I believe that would be a threesome between my husband, Mr. Fillion, and I.XD

Blonders (with flesh colored stubble) looks weird. As does King Cailanders...
