Don't mages have methods of birth control so they can have loads of sex in the tower without (much) consequence?

That, too.

Seriously, as much as I love Dad Anders, I think he's way too messed up and aware of how messed up he is to be ok with procreation.

Thanks guise! You're too kind (and a bunch of enablers!)

Hmm, does Anders say the "our children" line to an m!Hawke...? :?

Yes, indeed they do. Not 100% effective, as Wynne and the DA:O comic reveal, but still, according to in-game banter, widely-used.

Oh, and this is another example of why Anders is perfect for gaymaleHawke.
gaymaleHawke doesn't NEED children and can run alongside his handsome apostate boyfriend happily. Plus, no worries about contraception! :D :D :D

Thus, why pro-templar Lucius Hawke became pro-mage at the end and vanished with his soulmate. Leaving everyone like, "I could've sworn he liked Meredith. Didn't he like Meredith?"

Then it's not a generational reference.  He actually IS bringing it up RIGHT THEN.

LMFAO!
While the rubble of the chantry settles on Kirkwall, Anders stares at Hawke dreamily and thinks about his future children.
While Hawke stares at him going .

There are limits to how far you can stretch a metaphor. "We're both dudes" is probably up there.

Anders: Surprise! I actually want five children!

That's... kind of terrifying, actually.

Well Anders never did seem to have perfect timing, unless it comes to the bomb.

Nug intestines.

The problem is there are no nugs in Kirkwall.

Though I think it is possible (maybe this was just me, since none of my Hawkes are okay with the whole having kids thing) to read that line as "mage children in general" and not Anders' children specifically. Or I could have just been really trying to not picture my Lady Hawkes getting domestic, one or the other. :wizard:

He replaces that line with something along the lines of "people being how the Maker made them and not being chased for it"

I will remember this when the birds come.

Also, SURPRISE! Anders wants to bear the children. He found an old Tevinter recipe...

I know Anders very likely meant future generations, but the first time I heard that line, my mind took it literally. XD

Malcolm and Leandra managed to raise a family on the run, but I suppose they were never in as much danger as Anders and Hawke.

It's probably for the best the two never have kids.
Fun to think about though.

If the worst comes to the worst, that's what godparents are for.

Now take your pick:
Uncle Carver? Uncle Varric?
Fenris could teach the kid how to rip people's hearts out with only a fist! (Wouldn't Anders love that!!)
And Isabela would make a fine foster-mother, no? XD

On a serious note, I don't want to think about what would happen if a vengeful Sebastian got ahold of Ander's kid though... :(

I'd like to see a vengeful Sebastian get past Margaret to get to her children.

Anders wants Hawke to be the surrogate mom for his and Justice's baby.

That's why it's first on my Hawke's list to find Sebastian and MARDAR him asap. Not so much for the kid's sake as Anders.

Natalia Hawke would rip his heart out and eat it for dinner.
Then make a necklace of his teeth. <_<

I swear, if Sebastian EVER pops up in either Lucius or Natalia's life, demanding justice, they will both slam his face into the ground. "Oh I see you just became acquainted with the ground a few seconds ago. Whoops."
ESPECIALLY if Natalia has an Anders lovechild and Sebastian gets his little grubby hands on him/her.

Sebastian will not get to Anders.
He is not getting past Vengeance AND a level 20-something, incredibly angry, over-protective maleficar.
If he does, he will regret it.

Insane Hawke could put Anders and Meredith to shame!

I don't think Sebastian would kill a kid, even the kid of Anders... the worst he would do is take the child and raise it in the Chantry or something. (oh the irony!)

(yes, I actually like Seb... I feel so alone on this thread *cry*)
