Mine romanced Merrill too. He did like Anders and had him in his party for most of the game - I'd already completed the game when he was going through his first play through and I remember fondly him saying he was working on the quest to "separate Anders from Justice". I was like "Oh yay cool" [professor chaos inner monologue] Yes yes my pretty, you go "help" your dear friend Anders and you too will feel devastated when you see what he's really up to [/monologue] Would you like a cup of tea dear?"

I was playing DA2 over spring break when I was hanging out with my folks, so my boyfriend didn't have to listen to me waxing lyrical. Now he jokes that he's jealous of my pixelated boyfriend.

I think part of my problem is that this time around he romanced Merrill. So now the character I romanced is constantly antagonizing the one he romanced.
We used to argue when he played Origins because he was Team Zevran, while I was an Alistair fangirl. We bonded over Garrus in ME2 and now it's back to sniping over DA love interests.

Haha, same. And then after the quest he somehow managed to skip all the "I lied" stuff and still thought he was going to help in the Justice thingshiba5 wrote...
