Also, I CANNOT believe I've not told you this very good and fitting song to add to the Anders Playlist, but it played on the radio today and reminded me... "Blow Up the Outside World" by Soundgarden.

Added that and the one you PMed me, thank you! <3

Oh shi-- top of the page. To the art folder!

He does look a bit less groomed than in DAA, IMO. Hair is more scruffy and he's always flustered and a little... shiney, lol. I guess it's part of his personality change. In DAA he took great care of his looks according to the Codex, after all. But I don't think he looks any more hobo than most people.

I'm almost thinking it's just me. Because when I think about it, my dad always had that scruffy look going. And I think my husband looks his best when he's rockin' the scruffy look (cue the "Oh, God, I married my dad" revelation, lol).

So, yeah, Anders is a-okay in my book. Now, if he was rockin' some gigantic, ZZ Top-worthy beard, then I could see the hobo angle better.

You're not the only one! I don't get 'hobo' vibes at all either. I just think he's a little more unkempt than in DAA - but that's hardly surprising considering all of the stuff going on in his life. I can't imagine he doesn't take care of himself, what would his patients think?

I dunno, perhaps there are fewer people who like the scruffy than previously thought?

I don't think Anders truly cares about his appearance anymore. He's depressed, sullen, and generally suffers from poor mental health. I can't remember which companion banter it was, but he says somewhere along the lines of "my face is the last thing I care about" and how he doesn't give a damn about what anyone thinks of him. Admittedly, when he gave up his personal belongings though, I thought he was suicidal, not designing an elaborate plot against the Chantry.

Given that it was after the plot had been set in motion, it may have been much the same thing for him. He fully expects to die, just by another's hand instead of his own.

Since we can't see the actual costume in person, it's open to interpretation. But whenever I see him in his first outfit, I can't help but think, "And that's my Raggedy Doctor."

And when I see him in the second outfit, I think, "And that's my sexy and crazy terrorist revolutionary."

The second outfit is so mrrrrrr :wub:

And Facetome is the best EVAR

Little did he know it wasn't going to be Hawke's and not by anyones if he/she had a say in it.

This is also true. I guess 'hobo' just conjours up images of smelly unwashed drunks for me. There's not caring much about your appearance, and then there's that. And, as I said, I doubt patients at the clinic would particularly want to be treated by someone who smells and looks like something from a sewer, no matter how good a healer they are!

Oh, also, Threeparts, while you're here, I have a song suggestion. Less about Anders than from his point of view, so I dunno if it's appropriate. Also, the middle section doesn't really fit, but eh. Make this go on Forever by Snow Patrol  ^_^

I have managed to successfully friend him with a mage, it's just, well he is like Anders, he opens his mouth and doesn't listen to what he is saying. Hypocrisy is the tie that binds them.
I like him but I can only take so much broodiness, so I am going to rival him this PT because I want to call him on his crap instead of worry about my F/R meter, and be Sis-Fisting(so wrong) Merrill and Izzy. Still on the fence on who to romance  with the BMHawke...or I could rival Anders...:wizard:

This is why I call Anders a handsome hobo. And because I like to make fun of the district names in Kirkwall, and we decided that Darktown should be called Hoboville.

Anyway. There are waaaaay worse things in life than reminding me of Joel McHale.

(He's done this all four times. Apparently he really doesn't like the Deep Roads and wants desperately to be held.)
