The look on Fenris face is great though.  He looks like a dog who is upset someone is on his territory.  While Anders is like "What? Jealous of the lighting?"

I wonder why femHawke gets "ache for you in bed" and maleHakwe gets "something is smoldering".  Were they trying to tone things down for maleHawke in case he doesn't swing that way?  There is no subtle way for Anders to say what's on his mind, really.  Or was this just a case of doing something different for each gender to add to the replay value?  Personally, I would have preferred the smolder line for my femHawke, because I like subtle talk of smoldering better than explicit talk of exactly where Anders is aching and what's on his mind at the time.  The unsubtle face nomming afterwards is perfectly fine with me though, sounds and all. XD

edit: To clarify, I prefer subtle for that scene because supposedly this is Anders confessing how he's felt for three years, during which they haven't even gone out for coffee.  He can be totally explicit later, just don't throw all that at Hawk all at once, slow burn or no slow burn.  Then again, since Hawke isn't me, maybe red convo Hawk would like that kind of directness.  It's still classier than anything Isabela would say.

Hmm, I got the infamous "aching" line with my mHawke but it was during the loving scene. Do fHawkes get it at a different time?

Fem Hawkes get two aching for you lines if you do the rivalry romance. One just before the big kiss scene and the other the same as above.

Ah, only on the rivalry romance.  That makes sense.  I did it on the friendship path and got only one line at the same time as the M!Hawke romance.

Also, if anyone is up for seeing Seb die horribly trying to chase down Hawke and Anders, Atonement is now finished, and I can finally put that plot bunny to rest.  Maybe now I'll finish the Garrus fic I've been picking at for months.

The entire sequence from when the chantry blew up to the end of the credits made me tear up.

Guise, I finished my Anders rivalmance playthrough.

He didn't seem any different from my friendship playthrough (sans romance). All his non-romance comments were exactly the same. When he asked me distract Elthina, he was even all "Maybe your support for mages ends at the Chantry door." And I was all "Dude, I have you at, like, 90 rivalry. Why do you think I give a rat's ass about mages?"

Yes!  He has the most romantic and trgic romance in the game in my opinion, which is why I love it.  It is like the test of love and how far you are willing to go with someone.  I decided to take the leap into choas with him.

Or Anders is so wrapped up in his stuff he doesn't hear you.

Yeah I'm thinking that's bugged. 

It makes no sense otherwise. :/

Completely agreed. Between his incredible VA, those puppy eyes, and his incredibly dejected posture, it's impossible for my heart not break for him. Really, it was the incredible anguish I saw in him that helped me spare him my first time through (with a Hawke who'd romanced him). I disagreed so strongly with his methods, but agreed with the cause. Seeing that he didn't enter into any of this lightly didn't so much redeem him for me as make it clear he was a complicated character with a lot of baggage. Good thing I like that (at least in fiction).

It seems the rivalry and friendship, romances aside are bugged at the moment.  Even some of the companion quests(Merrill)

It is annoying, I was rather upset the last half of my forced rivalmance with Anders was the same as the friendship.
