Yes, that's how it played out for me, IIRC. You're right. I like the more sudden kiss of female scene, but I don't like missing out on Anders talking about 'smoldering'

You know, with all this raging around by people going 'OMG ANDERS TRIED TO MAKE ME GAY', I decided to ask my brother if he ever had it.

He said no. He never chose any 'heart' dialogue options with Anders, and he never once got hit on. He told told offhand things, such as being a bit handsome, but never any 'BE GAY FOR ME' things.

I have a mod that removes stat requirements from all items. I thought that it would broaden my warrior's fashion horizons.

She still wears plate until she gets the Champion amor (which I love for any class).  Awful does not begin to describe the rogue stuff and 99% of the mage-wear.

Mage armor just makes me.... yeah.  I was really happy that we were able to get non-robe pieces to wear.  No way was I running my Hawke around in teal robes trimmed in fur and decorated with a 'do not enter' sign on the crotch and a license plate on her ass.

And the act ii rogue armor (that looks like the pirate robes but in NIFTY technicolor) make me think of a damn train conductor.  All aboard!

Maybe I'll get that. I love me a man-dress (srsly, Sebastian could never look THIS FIERCE, even with the female pose lolol) but after staring at the same damn blue robe for 2 playthroughs, it's getting a bit old.

This is why I miss Arcane Warrior. My old Amell felt so cool in his armor.

Oh well. Just another reason to keep replaying my 2H warrior Hawkette. She can look spiffy all day long. Although, I think her big metal pauldrons clipped poor Anders when he ninja kissed her.

It's all the over accessorizing that just makes me shake my head.  The belts are just so horrible!

My male mage Hawke spent most of the game wearing that robe with the awful shiny lilac hoodie top thing. It was tragic.

I like the Robe of Hidden Pockets. It looks kind of Jedi-ish on males. It's hideous on females though.
