I'll say this...

When people make mods to improve what they think are unattractive or ugly characters...and release said mods upon the masses...I really got to wonder what they actually find attractive since most mods aren't an improvement.

With the exception of DA:Redesigned..which owns my soul.

I've never understood the purpose of modding companions. Their looks are a part of who they are. It's not like you can change the appearances of the people around you. If it bugs you, don't romance them.

I even tried out the mod to lighten Anders' stubble, but I found I'd gotten used to his normal look and it bugged me trying to change it. I promptly deleted it and went back to vanilla Anders. Some of the outfit tweaks for certain characters aren't heinous, but things like making Isabela white or giving Varric a beard and a shirt are just wrong on so many levels.

I'm sorry to say that I do not imagine Anders as being bisexual. Try as I may, he was too much of a skirt chaser in Awakenings. Writing him as being bi just for the sake of it was stupid and out of character in my opinion, so now, I can't imagine him as romancing my male Hawke...it ain't gonna happen.

I find quoting the whole Nate banter with the "Not when I'm naked" flirty line is usually an effective response. There's nothing explicit in Awakening about Anders' sexuality, but the moment that banter triggered my gaydar went off. And honestly, I like him better with m!Hawke. Oh, or you could just post a picture:

There was nothing that limited him to being straight purely. He only expressed an interest in women. He never said "getting with a guy? EWWWWW...."

That said, I can't romance Anders as a Male Hawke. I'd end up leaving him for Merrill and feel so horrible because I actually feel connected to him. Whereas Zev, the only option for those seeking m/m romance, I never felt attached to on either gender. So I just went ahead with some crazy Dwarf on Elf action for lulz (which was why I did it in the first place) and afterwards went to Morrigan and Leliana. Then Morrigan forces me to choose, I pick Leliana, buy the Golden Mirror for Morrigan, give it to her, and bam! I'm romancing both girls again, free of the ultimatum.

I'll romance Anders as a girl though. Though I need to decide whether I should do Fenris Romance or Anders Romance first.

Honestly, I can't think of a response to this beyond "...That doesn't mean he can't find men attractive too, you know". I'm not partial to slash myself, but I have absolutely no trouble seeing Anders as bisexual.
Maybe he was afraid he'd get an arrow through the eye/fist in the gut/vacant, uncomprehending stare if he hit on the male companions.
Maybe Bioware didn't want to ****** off the 'overly defensive straight male' portion of their audience.
Maybe it just never occurred to him to bring it up.

Considering trying to hit on a homophobic straight-male is a bit risky, and that Anders isn't really fond of physical fights (verbal wars, yes) hitting on women is safer and easier. And expected, really.

Or maybe he only recently came out of the closet.

You know what's funny? So far, I haven't seen a single DA2 companion mod that I would be willing to download. I like my Anders the way he is, thanks. And Fenris, Aveline, Varric, and the rest, too. OK, I do use a mod to make Hawke's siblings match his haircolor, but that's it.

Oh, bother. I also use a mod that makes Anders' stubble and eyebrows match his haircolor. Bother. I guess that means I mod the companions, after all. At least it's subtle. Kind of.

There's one that gives Isabela pants that I downloaded as hard as I could, and one that removes Aveline's headband and nothing else that I downloaded and decided I liked. The rest all make me frownyface.

I think the poster has also forgotten that Anders isn't the same one we knew in Awakenings anymore as well. He isn't out for the quickie anymore. And if the poster explored the flirt dialogue with Anders discussing Karl, I'd link a video of it for reference, he would see that it isn't a matter of the body like Anders said, its a matter of the whole person.

The crowning fight for this is, he states he cares more about personalities then outward looks.  

This might have happened after Justice, because Justice might have given a different outlook on things, mostly if any of Kristoff's memories got transfered over when they mereged.(This is my added take)
