I have always assumed a healer could pretty easily gain 'credit' with people. Anders could have saved Stroud's life, rescued his child, etc. Yes, it sounds to me like there is a story there. I would sort of wish for a DLC, but it would have had to have happened prior to Act 1 (or during? oooh).

I get the impression our Wardens were gone at that point.

I did have my bets on Delilah Howe, but alas, no mention of Pounce when you speak to her.

Yeah, I mentioned this once when the favor topic first came up. It got shot down for reasons I cannot remember... I still think it seems pretty valid, though.

I don't think it would have been Stroud himself. I figured maybe it was something that put Anders' life on the line or someone he might actually think twice about healing. Like that Templar guy that gets brought into the Wardens to keep an eye on Anders.

I'm sure there is some story behind it all though. I just think something healing/magic specific makes the most sense because it would be something that maybe only Anders could have done at the time.

I should hope so too, since my Warden would feel exactly the same way.
Also, if she'd still been around, **** like letting templars into the order to keep an eye on Anders would not have flown.
She was Dalish. She and Anders could have started a 'We Hate Templars'* club. In fact, I'm betting they probably did. Secret handshake included.
Of course this makes me wonder where in the blue blazes our Wardens have gone, anyway, and if they're ever coming back. Because if they are, believe you me, we are going to have WORDS.
