To be honest, what Anders did never bothered me.
It just makes me sad he didn't stay with the Wardens.

He did what had to be done to acheive his final goal.

I suppose I'm too used to playing "the ends justify the means" characters.

Ok, I was trying to hold back, but if the DA component is really based on saltpeter, it is ingestable. Potassium nitrate is a preservative (not commonly used anymore) and can be in stuff like toothpaste.

Which is a shame and makes me wish they had thought more about where the setting of the second game was going to be in regards to the mage spec. I mean, they could have kept Kirkwall but it would have made sense to flee partway through to someplace like Starkhaven, lay low until the Qunari uprising than return as the Champion in Act 3. You would have gotten to see more of the Free Marches and Sebastian would have been more relevant.

His forehead or his nose?  He has a pretty big honker.  Last time I played the Sexy Kiss scene, he decided it would be nice to impale Hawke's face with it.  I like it, though.  It's all sharp and distinguished... ::fangirly sigh::

But then they would've had to make him a complete part of the game and couldn't sell him as DLC!

I would've liked something that made a little more sense for the mage class. Constantly running into Templars while casting magic in a city that's cracking down heavily on mages is something that makes it really hard to suspend disbelief.

Bioware wanted us not to roleplay a character who could actually not be any more blatantly obvious about being a mage! Rat b*stards....

That's basically my mage Hawke and Anders.  She would've been so much happier if Anders had never convinced her to be less selfish.

It's the problem with roleplaying. Characters get minds of their own and start making decisions that are not the ones you intended them to make.

Apparently, all of the dialogue from the point where Anders blows up the chantry and on is bugged and gets stuck with friendship even if you rivaled him. That's what it seems, anyway, since people have found missing rivalry-flavored dialogue for those scenes.

That was me. Anders was giving me friendship dialogue from the Justice quest on, despite my rivalry with him.
