It's the problem with roleplaying. Characters get minds of their own and start making decisions that are not the ones you intended them to make.

My Hawke's life would've been so much easier if she'd just stuck to the game plan and been little miss Azula-esque villain protagonist.

But nooo, she had to go fall in love with ANDERS, who had to go and make her a better PERSON and give a damn about her fellow mages <_<

To be honest, what Anders did never bothered me.
It just makes me sad he didn't stay with the Wardens.

He did what had to be done to acheive his final goal.

I suppose I'm too used to playing "the ends justify the means" characters.

I don't mind what he did so much as the way he did it in relation to Hawke. Either involve her/him or don't...that half-assed "I need your help but I can't say whyyyyy" stuff makes me <_<.

That was me. Anders was giving me friendship dialogue from the Justice quest on, despite my rivalry with him.

I don't think anyone is getting the proper dialogue after the big bang. I'm also suspecting dialogue in the 'Justice' quest is bugged.

Yeah. Aerin was quite happy dodging templars and doing little things to help people. Then she got dragged into the Qunari mess and ended up outing herself as a Magic in spectacular fashion dueling the Arishok. At that point she should have scarpered pretty quick, unfortunately a certain apostate had convinced her that she should stick around.
It's also why I have to take Carver into the deep roads. If he went Templar she'd leave Kirkwall so he never had to choose between his duty to the templars and his family which means I have to start the game again
