To be honest, what Anders did never bothered me.
It just makes me sad he didn't stay with the Wardens.

He did what had to be done to acheive his final goal.

I suppose I'm too used to playing "the ends justify the means" characters.

I don't mind what he did so much as the way he did it in relation to Hawke. Either involve her/him or don't...that half-assed "I need your help but I can't say whyyyyy" stuff makes me <_<.

I agree.  Hawke was livid about the whole Justice potion lie.  That was worse than the Chantry cover-up, where at least he was honest enough to say that he was up to something but couldn't give details.  I always choose the dialogue that makes him admit that the potion was a lie before I help with the Chantry.

You'd think that by Act 3, after all that Hawke has risked and done, Anders might give him/her a little credit.  S/he's hardly a risk-adverse character...

I haven't been to the Mass Effect boards in ages, except to pop in and try to hunt down Kaidan's pic in ME3 (AKLJFKLASFKLFKLDKLD!!!! <3).  It makes me sad that the Anders hate has spread there too.

Especially from the Garrus fans!  For shame!  They know what it's like to persecuted!  "You love a bird-lizard with a cloaca" "You love a psychotic terrorist".  Tomato toMAHto, I say!

Thinking about Anders is so depressing  T_T  I still have no idea what he and Hawke are going to do... I can not imagine how it could end without Anders going even more crazy or something else

I'm such an idiot <_<" I can't even remember what the end was like... Does Anders think that it's okay to be an abomination (I mean... that he would never even  think about separating Justice and so on) or not? How is the rivalry path different?

I try to at least keep track of the Garrus thread. Now a lot of people are using Anders as the example of what not to do with a character. Saying, more of less, the worst thing that could happen to Garrus in ME3 would be for BW to make him "another Anders" or some such.

Oh well. I understand why people don't like him and all that. It just doesn't make me want to post in the Garrus thread until that cools down a bit.

It's not so much the Garrus thread as one person.  We did have an extensive conversation earlier about some of the parallels between Garrus and Anders since a lot of us are playing DA2.  (Also, squee for Garrus!)

If anyone would be interested in Justice it would be the sniper-rifle-toting ex-vigilante-supreme Garrus. The Fade doesn't really fit into the ME universe, though.

I can't help but picture Garrus and Anders as bros.  I don't know if they'd actually get along or not, but I think they can appreciate someone else with a big vigilante streak, no?

I'll be upset if Garrus has an ending that's so intensely bittersweet as Anders', but that's because my Shep/Garrus Badass BFF squee balances out my Hawke/Anders Oh! The dysfunction! squee.
