After doing battle in the main forums after a long break, I felt dirty and unclean, so I rushed back to the Anders thread and saw this!  WHAT?!?!?! ADAM IS VOICING STUFF IN SWTOR?!?!?!?!?!  Ooooo,  I really hope he's voicing an LI on the Republic side because I'm determined to be a jedi!!!!! Then again, if he's voicing an LI on the Empire side of things...I may just go dark side for the first time ever.

Ah THE PICTURE!

I'm going to link to a work on DevArt that's NSFW (not for smexy reasons). It's of Anders in solitary (which is what I like to think is where he's headed after The Picture).

It's a bit of a serious turn of conversation for us, but I like to remember every now and then that despite his happy-go-lucky nature in Awakenings, he did go through a year of hell and come out the other side. His motivations and character in DA2 didn't come out of nowhere like some people claim.

... The last time I played The Sims Medieval I somehow managed to make a sim sound like Fenris. Really. It was scary XD   Now I'm creating my Warden ^__^ 
That's totally Anders related, right?  
Please tell me I'm not the only one who creates sims that are supposed to be characters from video games, movies and so on "XD

Yes, yes! It really gets on my wick that people are complaining about his 'transformation' from angst-free to full blown woobie, without actually seeming to pay attention to his character in Awakening. I always figured the humour was just a cover so that he didn't have to deal with all the crap in his life. He wasn't just running away from the Circle in body, but in mind as well.

Edited to add: I'm surprised Anders hasn't made it to Woobie status on TV tropes yet. Although I suppose most characters in DA2 qualify for that dubious honour.

The whole solitary thing is...heartbreaking for me to think about. It's enough for him to be alone all that time, but then I start to think about how the templars probably let him go far too long without food or water, and how he was probably constantly being tugged at by demons. Ugh. It's no wonder he was so proud of Mr. Wiggums for taking down those templars.

Here I am about to show my massive ignorance, but I'm dying of confusion and curiosity.

SWTOR is an MMORPG, right?  How can you have LIs in those?  You're playing simultaneously with millions of the other real players in the same game world, aren't you?

I'm wondering the same thing.  Have they actually announced there will be like... a love interest mechanic in TOR?  I don't see how that would work in an MMO...

@ Halinu: The Old Republic has Companion NPCs.. Kind of like back-up for solo'ing or group questing and stuff... They also farm stuff and go out on missions you assign them to. They're also love interests.

I've been blame Mel for my need for the damn game.  I just haven't downloaded/bought it yet.  But I think this weekend, I too shall cave.  I need more Nathaniels, Anders greasy Orlesian Riordans, and the little wolf too running around in my world.
