Very true. Someone needs to do a Meredanders highlight clip. "It would be a bit conspicuous taking him through the streets" and the how did you know who I was would be great choices.

Aww, thank you!  Sometimes I worry that I might be annoying people with them but I'm glad I've made somebody happy.  When I get the chance, I'll post more of their shennanigans in my blog on here.  I cannot believe how insane these guys are.

Although I am getting crazy rambling from Anders about midnight coming soon, or something like that. Maybe I have to max him out on rival. Hmm.

I'm going to link to a work on DevArt that's NSFW (not for smexy reasons). It's of Anders in solitary (which is what I like to think is where he's headed after The Picture).

It's a bit of a serious turn of conversation for us, but I like to remember every now and then that despite his happy-go-lucky nature in Awakenings, he did go through a year of hell and come out the other side. His motivations and character in DA2 didn't come out of nowhere like some people claim.

It really gets on my wick that people are complaining about his 'transformation' from angst-free to full blown woobie, without actually seeming to pay attention to his character in Awakening. I always figured the humour was just a cover so that he didn't have to deal with all the crap in his life. He wasn't just running away from the Circle in body, but in mind as well.

I agree completely. Well, alright, I don't think a cover was all there was to his mostly easy-going, snarky self our Wardens met, but it most certainly served the purpose of distancing him emotionally from his indubitably traumatizing past experiences. I still think it speaks volumes for his character that he has the -will- not to dwell on it more than need be, but rather look to the moment and live. Many characters in DA cannot let go of their pasts, seeking retribution or vengeance, not him though. Even with the picasso painting that has become his psyche  (Thank you Ms. Hepler for sharing that insightful short story!) his focus rests on change, anyone else with his arguable state of sanity after all the sh!t he went through wouldn't have seen the plight of mages but probably rather gone on a rampage to end those who wronged them.

That's my take on things, in any case.  Gotta love these writers.

Still can't romance Anders with a fem!Hawke though.
The Edward-Cullen-esque lines he throws at her - NUH-UH. Shove it, Sparkleson, you may be written a gazillion times better than your psychotic disco ball of an alter ego, but when a dude goes all I'LL HURT YOUUU on me, I still go KTHXBYE. And I will not play a Bella-Swan!Hawke, who'd be the only character I could imagine who'd go for it. I'd rather eat glass. Trauma sits deep, tragedy that is the existence of Twilight-waste-of-perfectly-good-paper. 
... yeah, I had to put that out in the open, it was killing me from the inside.
I apologize if I offended anybody. Personal opinion and all that.

You have to help him first.

Then you get Creepy Anders dialogue

Then you can question him. 

Though yes some of that dialogue must be bugged. I never supported your cause to begin with Anders. Considering I tossed your Manifesto in the fireplace you should realize that by now.
