IDK, from Anders' dialogue it sounded like they were apprentices together. Add to that the crew cut + the Irving beard, and I got the feeling that Karl's character model wasn't that well thought out...

I knew he'd cave eventually. No one can resist the allure of fashionable maternity armor.



It's funny, because the Edward/Bella romance is certainly very dysfunctional -- but the book spends its entire time focusing on possibly the one part of their relationship that is never, ever an issue. Honestly, Twilight probably could have been good if it had skipped the hackneyed baby plotline and explored their relationship once Edward's vampirism was no longer an issue, forcing them to deal with all of the things that actually make their romance self-destructive (the obsessive stalking, Bella's submissiveness, the age gap, the fact Edward is a 100 year old virgin, etc.).  It has a pretty excellent setup for a deconstruction of rushed teenage romances and power imbalances in relationships and it's completely squandered by an incompetent writer who doesn't even realize how fundamentally toxic (in the "these people are too ****ed up to be ****ing" sense) the romance she's writing is. why do i spend so much time thinking about twilight



Also this has allowed me to create Mermaid Meredanders and it is glorious

That Karl mod doesn't look too bad. While he wasn't such a bad looking guy, his gray hair and beard kind of made him look pederastic. Anders was probably only 18 when they dated, right? Either Karl has Progeria or he really is THAT old.

On another note, it's possible for Meredith to grab Anders. I controlled him for a few minutes to heal my warrior. Sure enough, Meredith grabs him from the neck, gives that "tell me champion, how does it feel to have the life of the one you love in my hands?" speech and proceeds to thrust her ginormous sword through his chest. She definitely deserved that beatdown I gave her.

Well, thanks to the person I'm in a long term bromantic relationship with, I've got my Hawke/Anders song. It's great for Hawkes that feel strong senses of responsibility for the events going on around them. And might even be a sort of call and answer thing, too, in it's own way. I don't have to figure it out, it's music, it can be whatever you want it to be. Little Lion Man.

She always finds way miserable better love songs than I do. I guess that's what I get for listening to too much Pitbull. His songs have yet to speak to me.

WHAT?! Oh gahhhh I had no idea that could happen! it oddly satisfies my weird distress/rescue fetish. Freaking Aveline, tanking Meredith to death before I had a chance for TEH DRAMAHZ
