Can someone give me a logical Role Play reason why should my Hawke who Romances Anders should go Blood Mage? For practical reasons, I can't see her going Spirit Healer with Anders around.

Is it necromancy if I'm quoting from 5 or so pages back on this thread.  It's giving me whiplash.  For reals.  How about, Merril talked Hawke into it!  Is your Hawke friends with Merril?  Maybe her earnest devotion to recovering the old knowledge convinced Hawke blood magic is just a tool.  Maybe Hawke thinks, like Merril, that it's fine so long as you're aware of the risks.  Is your mage emo and into cutting?  That there leads naturally to blood magic.  Waste not, want not.

------------------------------------

All the joking about how it all went wrong when they took Anders cat has an underpinning of truth.  Not to downplay all the other awful trauma in his life, but the loss of Ser-Pounce would have been a severe blow on top of everything else.  The man is very lonely.  Look at how much good cats do as therapy animals in nursing homes and with autistic children.  I would be devastated if I lost one of my cats, and I have a wonderful life.  Ser-Pounce must have meant a lot to Anders.  Now I'm sad.  Must go look at DeviantArt comics and use humor to cope.

I'm coping with these pictures of dr. Tinycat from icanhazcheezburger, here you go.  I can see Anders dressing up Ser-Pounce in teeny spirit healer robes and then showing him off to Oghren and Nate.

Well Jennifer Hepler did say Seb's story wasn't over, so who knows. It might still go somewhere.

Though given how unpopular he seems to be, I have my doubts.

I didn't hate him as a character but he's just not terribly interesting. I honeslty don't see myself buying anymore DLC with him and am content picturing him stroking his beard(he grew one) in Starkhaven repeating "Soon."

Now any time I actually use him that is all I am going to see...he seems less dull.

Yes! ^ This!

This is a lovely picture. Do you happen to have a DeviantArt or other similar?

Thank you very much. :)
Nooo... in the moment I only have a neglected blog for serious art and a livejournal for fanart I never update. (and my lj will probably be deleted very soon, because I just got no time for it)

Buuuut I might get a tumblr soon. Hopefully... one of these days. ^^°

Aww, that's a shame. I'll just have to stalk you on here then. And build a panty shrine a la Anders.

Hope you continue to post these here! :)

Augh, Dr. Tinycat is TOO CUTE! I'm not really a cat person, but the kittens may slowly be converting me.

This.  I really can't pinpoint why, but Seb just doesn't interest me even a tiny bit (and this is coming from a Kaidan fan).  I have no idea why.  He should be interesting, with all his flip-flopping and having his passions torn between the Chantry and Starkhaven.  But hot damn, even his funny accent can't make me interested in the words he's saying.  I do, however, have a ton of fun laughing at his expense (MARDAR and shameboners).

I'll still buy any DLC because I'm a Bioware slave I am interested in seeing if his threats go anywhere.

It's better that way. I also like to think he catches up with my Lady Hawke and she makes up for Elthina's death with her body. But that's for another time....

He's not, those scrubs are just way too big for him.  This is why Anders doesn't have big floopy sleeves, they get in the way when operating.  Unlike feather pauldrons.

It's funny that he'll turn his back on his vows for revenge but not Lady Hawke's supple white flesh.

You're the worst priest ever Sebastian.

I think he would have been an interesting character if he actually acted more conflicted about his old funloving self, his devotion to the Chantry and his place as the prince of Starkhaven, instead of just coming off as a humorless, deluded religious zealot 90% of the time.

I have faith in the game writers, but
there are also a lot of people who do like the breathy, over the top
romance stuff.  There's nothing wrong with giving them what they want.  I
would rather see that there's more there than that, though, and I'd
never heard that take on the romance before (i.e. the intentional irony
bit).

That's half the point of deconstructions, isn't it? You draw people in with a familiar cliche and start pointing out the cracks. Anders is so over the top unstable that it's sort of hard to believe that she was honestly trying to play the trope 100% straight.

Yes, I'm not disagreeing, just pondering.

HEY LOOK IT'S AN ANDERS.

Templar #1: Hey that guy over there is glowing.
Templar #2: Hm?
T1: He seems to be glowing. He looks really angry...
T2: (looks up) Oh he just has a cold. (looks back at book)
T1: But...he's got a staff. And he's waving it at us.
T2: (looks up again) So every glowing guy with a staff wants to harm us, then?
T1: I guess not....
T2: (looks back at book) Good. I'm glad we established that.

AND THIS is what the templars must do EVERY FREAKING DAY instead of their JOB.

This explains SO much.

Like how everytime I use blood magic to kill people, they say "Thanks for the help!" instead of "AH!!! Maleficar! Die, abomination! DIE!!!"

They think it's ketchup!

I have three cats and would be pretty miffed if any of them died. Not blowing up a chantry miffed but enough to pour some Cristal over their grave.

This is for all my furry homies.

I'm wondering around Kirkwall with Sebastian in my party at the moment trying to figure him out, and really the sorts of arguments he puts up for the Maker being interested and existing are really the sorts of things that are specifically designed to make me growl with rage.

On a more humourous note, he and Anders could go pamphletting together and have doors slammed in their faces for totally different reasons!!

It was an incredibly cruel thing to do.
I doubt Pounce was too happy either. (Who's betting Sigrun got the cat?)

I was looking forward to seeing that damn cat. (Why wasn't there an option to get him a new one? (Justice, I'd bet))

Who made him give him up? What? Is the Keep under new management or what?
I know MY Warden would never let Templars in just to keep the Chantry quiet. (I'm blaming Anora...)

It's my head canon that Sigrun does indeed have Pounce, she just seemed like the only one out of the group who liked him.

Maybe that's why I don't like him.   I'm a religious person, but his views are the kind that just make me go "Whaaa?!" in real life.  Like his dialogue where he tells Fenris that his slavery wasn't the Maker's doing but his freedom probably is.  <_<  He's one of the types who credits the Maker with the good things and says He's not responsible for the bad things.  And that's just not how I imagine it works, but I suppose that's a theological debate that has no place here.
