LOL! In all seriousness, someone needs to force-feed Anders some high-calorie foods.

I want to get that dialogue so much! I'd heard about a Fenris/Anders banter and my current playthrough that's my aim (lol, there's a Mage/Templar conflict brewing and my Hawke just wants the romance drama...) but despite outrageous flirting, Fenris hasn't stopped by for bedtime funsies yet. I can just imagine Anders in the background with his arm raised "Ooh ooh pick me pick me". I swear I'm gonna cave soon and just head straight for Anders' Clinic...

Oh, it's very hard to do the Fenris romance first when Anders is standing there the whole time I tell you. But the banter is worth it .

I just ended up doing it until he dumped me, then I ran and sought comfort in Anders strong arms and the soft touch of those healing hands...it ended up with him showing my Hawke his Warden Stamina. ..

I managed it once and it was really really difficult. I just had to remind myself that the dialog would be worth it in the end lol. Had to avoid Darktown as much as possible for the first half of Act 2 especially as I wanted to do the dialog with Isabela as well lol.

@SilentK you have to trigger the Fenris romance and sleep with him first, which basically necessitates not speaking to or flirting with Isabela or Anders until after you've done it .

They really should have had some specific lines atleast to explain it on such save, but maybe that is one of the import bugs the patch is supoused to fix.

If I'm remembering correctly, I believe that's kinda addressed on Nathaniel's quest where it's put down to being a case of mistaken identity ie they saw a body at the Keep in a mage outfit and assumed it was him.

I believe that the explanation for him being sent away prior to recruitment or given to the templars was handed out on the forums and not in-game and basically amounted to: "he escaped and was recruited by a different group of Wardens." which, well, fair enough. I like him, so I'm happy to accept the hand-waving.

Sadly, as of now I think Nate quest will appear correctly only if he was in the Broodmother killing team. 
In my first xbox playthorugh, he was in the killing team and the quest triggered. Second playthrough he wasn't , and I screamed when I saw the stupid Fools Gold quest appear in Act2. I'm not accepting it, maybe if I don't do it with the next patch I will find Delilah in Act3 (wishful thinking). On my PC playthrough, Nate was in the killing team but I had to use the console to get the quest...I can only suppose it bugged because the Origins save I imported wasn't of a completed game, no idea.

Because he fled, and since all mages look alike when burned they just assumed the corpse they found was Anders. Poor excuse really. The real reason is: because the devs needed him.
I still think the excuse is really silly, I donìt think there were many mages in the keep, for sure he was the only one that could pull out that stunt of hundreds of darkspawns dead around him. And I'm pretty sure Nate could recognize his corpse (maybe from the earring too).

I must be spending too much time reading this thread, because everything in my life now I can somehow relate to Anders...like when I casually see a poster at Uni saying: "Get a job with justice" and just burst out laughing XD. And, when I used my umbrella with cats on it today my friend said I've been spending too much time on DA with anders...Curse you thread for making me like Anders more than Fenris!

Haha, I just wanted to see the Fenris romance myself and say I had experienced the templar ending. I didn't feel connected to my character, DW rogue is boring to me in DA2 (it was my favorite in DAO), so I skipped pretty much every non mandatory quest, just Fenris' and Anders'. Even then it took me like 20 hours for some reason...

But yeah. With DA2 I was so enamoured by my first playthrough and my first character that he is the only one I want to play D: I'm waiting for the patch as well, though.

Hmmm... funny.  My first character was my favourite, but I've played anyone but the canon playthroughs... 3 playthroughs completely different characters.  I am staying away from canon as I'm waiting for them to fix the bugs... and I'm afraid that if I redo the Anders romance I won't be able to look at anyone else again!!!!
So it's been Fenris, now Merrill... just anything but my sweet Anders.  Takes quite the will I must say!!!
Some people don't get how I'm not bored of playing mages... I don't know, none of my mages have been anything alike.  Not personality wise, not spec wise.  Mind you, canon mage is totally a copy of my warden
