Question for the folks on this thread: I was just browsing some random DA2 youtube videos and came upon male Hawke's "Tell me he has killer blue eyes and a nice smile and I'll marry him on the spot." I've never been able to trigger this in-game, though. Anyone know when it should come up?

That should only be female Hawke. She says, "Tell me has killer eyes and a nice smile, and I'll marry him on the spot."
Male Hawke just says he must be hiding bodies in the basement.

It must've been modded.

(And it's while talking to Lirene in the tranquility quest...picking the sarcastic option.)

Thanks, I know I'd heard it before with femHawke and figured it was one of those things not actually in the game. Too bad, because hearing it from manHawke was quite amusing.

That line is there for f!Hawke, the very beginning of Tranquility, when you talk to Lirene. Is it not in for male Hawke?

There are also recordings by male Hawke of some fem!Hawke lines like the "festooned with ruffles"one. I'm disappointed they're not in the game!

Ahh I wasn't the only one that got that... Did it happen in the final battle or elsewhere? I was wondering if it's something Meredith does (because it appeared after a cutscene) or if it's a bug...

This happens with Bethany and Carver in the last battle.  Anyone know of a fix mod?  Can a missing texture reference be fixed with modding?  I'm not holding my breath for the next patch. :/

And to stay on topic, I had someone from Supernatural fandom ask me in comments to my m!Hawke/Anders fic why I found Anders so magnetic, because in her words, "They made him so emo in DA2." And I'm like... you DO watch Supernatural, right? *LOL* Angst-muffins, ahoy. Anders would fit right into the team if Sam n' Dean were fighting for mages.

Everyone here likes the same things I like. It's so eerie.

And wonderful! I've been a huge fan for going on four years now.

When I was explaining to another friend online why I love Anders, I referred to him as an angst-muffin and told her he needed love-butter *LOL* And then I figured out what was going to happen with the Chantry and was all, OMG, NOT ENOUGH LOVE-BUTTER IN THE WORLD to fix this.

You know, I didn't like him in the beginning so much, but then I got to Act III and even my "Investigate" options were coming out sarcastic, and I was cracking up left and right. He was completely awesome in Act III, especially in the scene where he and Isabela talked after she got Castillon's ship, and kudos to the both of them, because I could totally hear the affection they had for each other behind the joking/sarcasm. Now I'm playing another F!Hawke and I miss his voice. She's... just not as good.

My new Hawke was going to go for Fenris anyway. That only makes me happier about it.
I would ake him have a fling with Izzy too but I'm scared of the bug at the end.

I like both voices perfectly fine. I prefer some lines in one voice to another of course, but they both come off as "Hawke" to me iykwim.

Boys aren't icky, but Boulton's voice is too much for me, especially in the beginning of the game. M!Hawke already sounds like a big, gaddumn hero when they're hardly out of Lothering. I really want an Arcade Gannon type voice option.
