On a slightly more serious note, he may have taken it on as a way of starting a new life. Or perhaps he was on the run and chose something slightly less inconspicious. Like...

And Anders panics, deliberates, and then comes up with the shining example of cunning:

You know, now that I think about it, there are a lot of people in my every day life who don't know my real, legal name. My boyfriend didn't until he added me to his car insurance four years after we started dating, and he was my boss before that. Sometimes it just doesn't come up and as long as you're not hiding a criminal record or anything it's not the biggest deal in the world.

In my heart of hearts, I imagine Gaider, God Of Raging Fangirls and Anguished Tears, basking in the glow of his monitor screen, making this face:



And DeaHamlet, SgtElias, Gala, Miri, Yami etc, I loved and agreed with your posts on pages 76-77 onward about forgiving him/condoning his actions. Very interesting and entertaining reading. I couldn't add to it though as my work has blocked ALL game and social sites ,

So out of curiosity, a question to those of you who romanced Anders.

At the end of the game did you

a) kill him
tell him to leave
c) allow him to stay but end the romance
d) allow him to stay and stay together at the end
?

Okay, that makes way more sense. I didn't think he'd be silly enough to give himself his own nickname. But this is "ANDERS" we're talking about ...

Haha! First person I've admitted that OT3 to who hasn't immediately gone 'wait, what?' It's also nice to see the guys getting in on it too, not just the girls ^^

Hawke's Giant's Reach (yay for perverting skill tree abilities. Not so passive anymore), Nate's rogueish flexibilty and Anders' sparklefingers. Oh my.  I always thought the romance path was better with a male Hakwe *shrugs*. Just the way I roll I suppose.

I admit I never really fixated much on the 'Anderstair' issue. I found Anders infinitely more charming for some reason.

I noticed that Nathaniel/Oghren seemed to have an obsession with Anders' robes. What could they possibly want to do with it?  Oh, nevermind me.

I actually hadn't thought about that particular OT3, but now that you've mentioned it, I'm going to have a hard time keeping it out of my head. And yeah, m!Hawke/Anders sure make a handsome couple. Angsty, bipolar (going for the rivalmance here), and emotionally damaging....just the way I like it.

You're right about that. Anders > Alistair. I mean, I like both, but Anders' charm is nigh incomparable. If we had a banter between the two, he'd be like Morrigan who always smokes Alistair in arguments.

On a side note, was Anders born in the Anderfels? The codex seems to imply that Anderfels = Germany. Maybe he had a German accent, but lost it when his family surrendered him to the Fereldan Circle? And his name! Let's guess a couple:

Dieter? Adrian? Dominik? Gisbert? Henrik? Ludolf? Rudiger? Soren? Vinzent?

First time around, I kept him and the romance. I mean, I WARNED miss Eldina chick. And she got all stubborn on me with a "I cannot leave because the Maker blahdeedah". I wish there was a B*tchslap option, followed by. "WELL AT LEAST EVACUATE THE AREA!"

As far as I'm concerned, Anders wanted out but Justice kept pushing. Eldina didn't heed my warning, so she got what was coming.


Second time around, I killed him because it was more heartbreaking.

...and the war he started. I really don't think there's anywhere Anders (and/or Hawke - if he/she sides with them) can run where that wouldn't follow them.

Allowed him to stay and stayed together. I imagine my Hawke unable to kill him and let him go and taking responsibilty for him a lot more then before, keeping a very tight grip on him. Roaming the world righting mage wrongs and trying to find a way to get rid of Justice.

Well given that there's a war going on, I figure there ought to be a lot of mages who would help them/ally themselves to them/give them shelter.

lol, nah. I saw them running off into the wilds, but with Anders attempting to assist mages and innocents and Hawke helping him. More of the Anders we first meet, healing refugees. Not to say they won't dish out the pain and destruction when need be, obviously, but Anders had already done his grand scheme. Now they have to deal with the aftermath. Helping mages escape (especially into Ferelden >.>) struck me as their M.O.
