No I think you are right.  Like I said that man has me rambling and romanticising myself into the void.  Thats why I took the path I am on now for my fanfic.  Like I said it won't be all white picket fence, but I think Hawke and Anders deserve a little more....again is a big helpless romantic.

I can't turn off angst either.
I sat down and wrote a view into mHawke and Anders' relationship and it was ALL full of angst, even though it was supposed to be a sweet sentiment.
Damn you fanfics. DAMN YOU.

The closest I've gotten to a sweet, sentimental romantic fic was Anders experiencing the Calling (I don't think it's actually possible to resist it forever...), and Hawke insisting on going with him.

There's much angst, and reflecting on feelings... and Hawke uses her "I want you right here beside me until the dy the we die" quote.

And then they get massacred by darkspawn.
Hawke first, Anders shortly after having a brief "OMG I lost my will to live" moment.

That was seriously as sweet as I could make it out of all possible plots. 

I pretty much made it impossible for Anders to be happy.
When I finished reading it, I was like, "WTF? Is it possible to write something fluffy and happy about this man? DAMNIT."

Grey Wardens don't really get happy endings, since they're all pretty much doomed to die at the hands (claws?) of darkspawn.
Mages and abominations, even less so.
Anders? Not really. 

Small little snippets of happiness are possible, but it will all drown in the overwhelming tide of ANGST.

Maybe after death, they'll be happier...

I ended up beating my friends over the head with that game >_> They know what drives me and they know to leave me alone about it >_<  Though some friends share the same love, but we are divided as half loves Anders and the others are all about Fenris...

Nope.  For one thing, all of my Sheps are ladies except for one token Dude Shep, and he romanced Miranda.

I'm not a tragedy porn addict; I'm not looking for the most broken character.  I'm a huge Kaidan fan, after all, and he's about as chill and stable as a videogame character can get.

My canon Amelia Shepard romanced Jacob because he was hot, oh and also human which is convenient. He's boring as hell though.

My guy Shepard romanced Jack. I think she's an awesome character, probably my 2nd fave after Samara. The romance was really unsatisfying though.

I have one femshep and one maleshep, and when I transferred maleshep, I knew who I was gonna romance.

I stayed loyal to Kaidan.
But it was hard. Very hard. And by the end I was like WTF is the point of staying loyal to a guy you never talk to? I should TAP GARRUS.
But I never did. I just watched youtube vids of his romance and cried myself to sleep.

I knew there was something more to that gray warden random quest! It all makes sense now!  Also I would buy that if Bioware fed it to me....

To be honest, I prefer romantic death scenes.
They're incredibly final.

You can even imagine them dying in one another's arms, with the whole "death's embrace" thing...

Just try to forget everything you know about darkspawn at this point.

I think Amelia is gonna go back to Kaidan in ME3, especially now that he's got a hawt makeover.

Guy (LOL I can't remember his name at all - it might be Adam or something) is probably gonna stick with Jack. The other ME LI chicks are too boring.

One thing that's still missing from DA and ME both is a proper ****** character. I rejoiced when I saw Aveline, but then the **** wasn't up for a romance with my warrior LadyHawke.

Merril is too girly, although nice. Isabela is fun, but not exactly right. Oh well, maybe in the next game they'll get the chicks right. Anders was already a step up for a male gay partner.

But... but... I need my Liara.  The cold shoulder made me cry.  Then I found LotSB and all my worries went away  my Shepard is to Liara what my hawke is to Anders.   Oh my.  *runs off to reread my LiaraxShep romance one-shot (WIP)

I couldn't stay loyal to Kaiden after what the ****** said on Horizon. I went straight to Garrus's arms in angry tears going "**** Kaiden and the Elcor he rode in on. Garrus, you wouldn't say such mean things to me would you?"

I won't ever say he is boring after realizing he is Jethann VA too. I think they told him to be repressed and righteous and heroic, otherwise I cannot explain how it can be the same person.

I didn't romance Jack, I didn't even like her too much...As femShep I was tempted by Tane but always went to Garrus in the end, and as male I would have probably tried Tali.

Regarding the Calling. I really dunno about that. It's never actually mentioned in DA2, and anyway I think Justice can probably have some sort of influence in the whole process - Wynne's spirit kept her from dying too.
