Well if we are pimping RP places, I'll pimp this one that I play at.  You can play canons there after you've had a regular character for at least a month (and if the canon isn't taken).  That said, nothing really DA2 wise has been integrated into that RP board.

Well, this was a couple of pages ago... but since it was mentioned...  I sort of started a DA RP recently!   I've been planning it for awhile, but I wanted to wait til DAII came out.  It's just starting out so it's a creative clean slate.  No canon characters, unfortunately, but we're looking for people. <3  If you guys are interested, here it be.

Man, I'm a Kaidan fan through and through.  (I think it helped that he had Carth's voice actor.)  My FemShep stayed true to him and... well, you mentioned the makeover.  I had no idea.  I was like "O RLY? *google* ... oh.. my... *fans self*"

Did Kotor 2 ever get "fixed"? I played it twice, but since half the story was missing, it was just so depressing.

There were a bunch of restoration mods.  The one everyone was watching disappeared off the face of the earth, but someone did release a completed mod.  I was playing through it but never got to the end, so I don't know how much they restored.  I heard it was supposed to restore the confrontation at the end with Atton and the Disciple and stuff and the part where *wibble* Atton could die.  Just Google "sith lords restoration mod" and it should come up right away.


As for romancing others beside Anders.  I'm... a sad, sad girl.  My first playthrough I was undecided, until I met Anders and... yeah.  That sealed it.  I saw saw the Fenris scene and then reloaded and pursued Anders without looking back.

My second playthrough, I created a character SPECIFICALLY for Fenris.  Basically, this is how it went.

Me: Yaaaay... I'll rival Anders and everything... I'll totally resist him!  Hey, Fenris, let's make out.
Isabela: ^_~
Me: Hey, why not rebound on Isabela while I wait for Fenris to stop being a brooding porcupine!
Anders: I don't know whether to kiss you or kill you!  You're everything I hate.
Me: *swoon* Well... one little kiss won't hurt...  I mean... We're rivals and stuff...
-sexy time-
Me: I WANT YOU HERE TIL THE DAY WE DIE.
Anders: 
Me: ... Sorry, Fenris.

Anders is hard to resist. I have flirted with him every single time because... well, I can't help it. And I always aim to turn him down by the end of the second conversation with him. Last time I had to reload because I totally got swepped up and told him he rocks my socks off. o.O
I never end up kissing him by mistake though... because I avoid his missions until towards the ends of the acts. By then it is too late! (What with me incapable of breaking anyone's heart...)

I don't think I could do an Isabela romance. I'd totally go for Anders after she leaves because I feel no qualms that I'm breaking her heart while with Fenris... oh man, the dialogue, my heart cannot take it!!!!!

3 playthroughs and managed not to bed Anders. Quite the achievement.
But what can I do... I'm waiting for them to fix a lot of issues before I replay my canons and Anders is canon. Except naughty people have suggested the warrior/Anders as super sexy so I might do that.

I must say to those enthused playing a warrior... The mages (Merrill and Anders) are putting me to utter shame. I'm better at this than Fenris though, but that kind of makes sense.

I don't think a majority of the devs were aware of it. Luka wasn't. Some of the posters from the Anders crisis thread did inform him about it though.

The Circles are necessary, even past the Harrowing the threat of demons and blood magic is ever present. I do think allowing them to have a bit of fun every now and then won't hurt them though. Like a visit home for good behavior. You can't get rid of the dangers that come with being a mage but you can make their lives in the tower easier while still keeping your pimp hand strong.

This sentiment just goes to show how the 'mages shouldn't be treated as people' rubs off from the game.

Yes they need a certain amount of policing, but dammit mages are human beings, they may have a talent, a dangerous one at that but treating them like naughty children or less than human is not the way to go.

Why should they only get to see their family for good behaviour? Why should the chantry preach they're evil and breed fear into the populous? Why shouldn't they be allowed basic human rights?
Police mages by all means, they can be dangerous but the circles as they stand are wrong and what you have written is barely even a step up from that.

I've been drawing lately too because of all the beautiful art on this thread.  Same with writing; I have more of a penchant for that, if anything.  It's mostly a guilty pleasure thing that makes me happy.  I think I'm too embarrassed to share my fan stuff with anyone yet.

On a related note, I'm baking blueberry muffins tonight in honour of my favourite fanfic. <3
