Okay this is seriously off topic but ipgd I've been watching a MGS2 playthrough and... have you got any brilliant justification for that excruciatingly bad Jack and Rose sobfest before the Colonel starts malfunctioning? Because OW. And if it was mentioned in any of the essays I've read I can't remember.

Also, the thread is in lulz mode. I am happy

Just the standard "Kojima inserting an emotional interaction with Rose in close proximity to the mind**** point to get you to question whether or not she was part of the VR all along" stuff that MGS4 later killed. I don't know of any indepth post-MGS4 examinations of it, but yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what he was originally going for back when he had no plans to actually conclude any of the plot threads in MGS2  :innocent:



also this is totes related because anders and raiden are both blond and everybody hates them
