You'd think Anders would be all about the PDA

Hawke: Anders babe, I love you, but perhaps you could let go of my hand just while we're fighting this swarm of giant spiders...

I don't think there's any doubt that Anders is all about PDA. I mean, he totally snarfs Hawke's face off in the middle of the clinic. Surely there should be someway to encourage repeats of such behavior.

EDIT: Oh crap, top of the page. Ummmmmm......

It's a pity he doesn't smile more often. They did a fantastic job animating the facial expressions this time around and Anders benefits especially. Makes me want to tweak his nose.

Yay, I've caught up again! :wizard:

Anyhoo, I totally agree. There should be more smiling Anders. In fact, that alone is a good reason why there should be more PDA in this game. Or at least ninja kisses after he moves in.

Hawke: Kiss me Anders. Kiss me like you've been aching for me for three years!
Anders: :D

Somebody will make a mod so we can do this. Right? Come on, toolset!

Like it matters for me, I play on PS3 <_<

Don't worry, you can just torture yourself watching Anders with other people's Hawkes in all the Youtube videos.

Edit: @YamiSnuffles I loved the fact that when romancing Alistair in DA:O the warden could kiss him. You'd think Anders would be all about the PDA

We just have to mentally edit all those years of time skips, the switches between day and night, and the cutscenes that only show faces and busts, to have the characters all over each other.
Walking around the hightown market, looking for upgrades or shiny new weapons? Bet your ass that Hawke is dragging Anders around by the hand to look at all the shinies. Waiting for night to fall so they can go sneak around the docks? Why, here's a quiet doorway where they can pass the next couple of hours! A three day trip to get to the Wounded Coast? Oh, oops, Hawke only remembered to bring the one bedroll. Guess they'll have to share!

Maker, nooooooooo!

I may have to get the game for PC. Even though my only PC is crap and overheats and bluescreens all the time. Do mods work on the mac? *clueless*

Do you know what I think is the best little detail of the kiss? Hawke's eyes coming back to focus. That speaks volumes of the quality of the kiss.

What the heck. It's worth it for (potential) Anders mods. Right?

Just statements companions make while running around and not in battle. No idea when or why he says he needs to hide his face though.

All we need now are pupils dilating and contracting. That would be an excellent detail to include next time around.

It's the way they're watched that causes my dislike - and being locked up at a tender age to never see your family again is not the way to go.

Mages can see their families -- Arl Eamon is said to frequently visit his child after she turns out to be a mage, in one of the epilogues. There's also the mage from Witch Hunt whose family maintains contact. Most families simply choose not to because they're scared ****less of the prospect of being accidentally set on fire, or whatever.

Eamon has money and status. I don't know much about Finn since I never played Witch Hunt.

Why in the world is it so hard to draw two people kissing?! If I can't get more PDA in game, I should at least be able to draw it.

*pouts*

Oh well, good excuse to stare at Anders pictures. Well, another excuse. Not like I need one...

Yeah, I got the impression Eamon was an anomaly and Jowan's parents were more the norm.

I heard him say it at the Keep, I think...I remember because I was going to give the pummel to Eustice.

As for mages and their families - you could be right. It's just the way Finn and Anders spoke of their mothers, it sounded like they haven't seen them in a very long time.

baww... when does Anders say "I miss my cat"?! I want to trigger that!

I wouldn't have thought mages could see their families at all - most of the characters in the game are constantly complaining about missing their families and such.  Eamon probably only got in because of his status, and only bothered because he had a different experience with a mage (saving his son... you know?)

Bethany says something that makes me think they can't see their families, too. Something like, "If I'd gone to the Circle, you'd be nothing more to me than a note in my file." I had the impression that without a lot of influence, families are off-limits.

This is my impression also - Anders talks about mages from less well-off* areas being taken away from their families with such families being threatened with imprisonment if they ask about them. No prestige I imagine = no contact.

*Edit: I think he described them as "rat-spit villages*

Yeah... so let's take lonely, fragile, emotionally unstable children and SEPARATE THEM FROM THEIR FAMILIES.  It'll all work out fine. [/sarcasm]
