*LMAO* And it has a plaque on the bottom that says "Anders never loved you".

Aaaaand.... the look our faces when we find it:

I loved my Hawke in that moment, too. Of course, that moment becomes incredibly ironic at the end of the journey.

David Gaider's heart is a shriveled, black thing.

I figured a reason to tell would be that the Warden could be forearmed in the case of trouble.

Cousland just wanted to forget it ever happened, or she'd see Morrigan every time she slept with her husband.

I knew there was a reason Hawke took up blood magic!
Now what's the chances of "Blood slave" working on mostly-human amominations? Or tranquil?

Do you think he buffs his head with the tears of Dragon Age fans?

Somewhat irrelevant, but Baldur's Gate just popped into my head.
(God, Xan would have an absolute field day in Thedas!)

He bathes in them, like Countess Bathory. They sustain his life.

Comparison of faith in Thedas:

Tevinter Imperium - Old Gods/Archdemons
"Our Gods were gigantic dragons... until they helped us get into the fade, turned several of our ancestors into monsters and created the Darkspawn. We can prove they exist though, just ask the Warden-Commander, she murdered one."

Dalish - Creators
"Our Gods got locked away by that **** Fen'Harel who now according to one fan theory lives in Flemeth's body backstabbed them, so they can't help anymore."

Dwarves - Atheists.
"Gods? Who needs them. We worship people who we can prove actually did something useful!"

Chantry - the Maker
"Despite abandoning us twice, dumping the blight on us and running off with his mage girlfriend, the Maker totally loves us, and totally exists!"

Everybody else's lame excuse >>>>> Chantry

(Then again, if I were a god, and most of my followers were like that, I'd dump them too.)

I actually think the Maker is Fen'Harel.   In both legends, they locked up the Old Gods...

My Cousland never told anyone, except for her fanfiction-enabled children right before she and Alistair took off for their Calling, and Anders.  (Okay, I don't write fanfiction, but they exist in my mind.  Similarly, Anders knows because in my head Cousland asked him for help using Flemeth's grimoire to conceive a child.)

Ok, after he finishes throwing his stuff away, I said, "Calm down" and then, "You're giving up?" and he told me that maybe the Templars deserved to win and that maybe they were right. He was too dangerous to live and was a terrible example to be fighting for mage freedom. Wow.

I usually RP as that being the moment Anders (in the rivalrymance) starts to question how much of a righteous spirit Justice truly is and if listening to Justice is really the best thing to do.

(Plus I almost always RP it as him killing the mage girl so he feels even worse.) add that to my Hawke telling him that he's dangerous and Anders just folds. He loses faith in his cause, in himself and in Justice and my Hawkes don't try to pick him up. (Those that don't let him kill the girl tell him to stay with them despite being dangerous because if it ever becomes necessary Hawke will be able to stop him.) those that let him kill the girl usually try to tell him that if necessary they'll kill him. (Of course this bit is in my head since it's not in game).

Nah, I can't do that to him. He goes all wooby eyes and I fold. But kudos for being a hardass. ^_^

It's what hooked my on Bioware for life, so I'd say yes. I mean, I'm not sure how it holds up now, it's been a loooooong time since I played it, and it's really simplistic compared to what we've got now in terms of graphics and such. But, all the really important stuff, world immersion, characters you care about and have personalities, TERRIBLE REVELATIONS that have consequences, not always getting the happiest of endings. It's got all that stuff.

It's an old game (Forgotten Realms, D&D 2nd edition rules), but one of my favourites. :D
Also, some of the NPC mods are to die for.

Kivan and Xan making my top 10.

(Kivan and Fenris might find they have a few things in common. *cough*anger-mangement issues*cough*)

What would they tell them? "This marsh witch used some sort of blood magic that I didn't actually witness and had no details on, had sex with me/Loghain/Alistair in order to get knocked up, and then ran off after we killed the big dude. Hope that helps!"
I have to assume there's more to it than her just getting impregnated by a Warden shortly before the archdemon's death. That would just be terribly unimpressive for something called The Dark Ritual.

I hate saying it's old because it makes me feel old...  I still think I have it in a drawer somewhere.  I keep good games that I can't even play anymore out of nostalgia.  I did manage to get Planescape Torment to run on Windows 7, but it looked like cat barf.  Still fun though!

Why does "Monster" by Skillet make me think of Anders?
(And "Those Nights" gives me friendship-romance AndersxHawke vibes...)

I wrote that the Wardens were aware of Flemeth's bargain and had so far turned her down.  The First was annoyed that two n00bs took her up on it.

Moira Surana told her trusted friends what happened.  By then, I RPed that she'd figured out what Morrigan had done.

Also, Dragon Age evolved from the Baldur's Gate series.
