It's an old game (Forgotten Realms, D&D 2nd edition rules), but one of my favourites. 

I hate saying it's old because it makes me feel old...  I still think I have it in a drawer somewhere.  I keep good games that I can't even play anymore out of nostalgia.  I did manage to get Planescape Torment to run on Windows 7, but it looked like cat barf.  Still fun though!

I know, right? But in terms of technology, it IS old. I still have my entire BG and BG2 series with all the expansions in their original boxes, packed in a box in my attic right next to the original box containing Planescape Torment *G*

On Anders' issues:

- the endgame rivalry part is currently 'fixed' in the packages for the next patch so assuming nothing crazy happens that requires it to be cut (or it just breaks again without anyone noticing) it should be in the next patch

- the Amulet part doesn't appear to have had an issue reported for previously so that's in now and hopefully that gets addressed before fixes for the next patch are locked

Totally. And it was that level of immersion and getting me attached to the characters that made me fall in love with Bioware, period. They were the only ones doing it then, and even for as annoying as they can sometimes be, they're still breaking ground with them. Ohhh, Minsc! <3 I miss him. I still say "Go for the eyes, Boo!" and "Buttkicking for goodness" *G*

I don't know about the BG's, but you can definitely coerce PT to run on Windows 7 and XP - I didn't have any significant issues with crashing or anything. It just looks awful.

I don't know about the BG's, but you can definitely coerce PT to run on Windows 7 and XP - I didn't have any significant issues with crashing or anything. It just looks awful.

I should pull it out and try sometime. It makes me so sad that I can't run any of the BG games anymore. I would totally play them every now and then just for the nostalgia.

I just bought White version about a week ago and feel so old now.
I want a darn Pokemon Yellow remake with Jhoto too damnit. I miss Pikachu following me.

I really want this Pikachu shirt I saw in a store since mother never let me wear anything pokemon. I need to feel this feeling of nostalgia.

I TOLD HIM!

My fiance asked me right after the Chantry blew if there was anything he could have done to stop it, and I told him there's no stopping Anders.

Him: Nothing?
Me: No, nothing. There's nothing you can do.
Him: But...
Me: No.
Him: What if I don't help him with his quest?
Me: No. Always. He'll find a way to do it without you.

He wasn't really a fan of that. We've also gotten into a few small arguments about Anders, and I think there's a tacit agreement not to talk about him anymore.

I didn't know EA bought them recently until I started coming back here after I finished DA2. I mean, I saw their logo on it and all, but it didn't register that EA hadn't always owned them, for some reason. I'm REALLY used to seeing that EA logo on my Xbox, so...

I'm guessing it's because people are afraid the quality will go down in favor of $$$?
