I love Zevran exactly the way he is.
i think it's sweet that he actually LOVES the Warden, but his promiscuity is a part of his personality that made me love him so much, I really don't think he'd be as much fun if you took it away from him. That's why I chose him for my hit-it-and-quit-it Warden. They LOVE eachother, sure. But I'd like to assume they've come to a mutual agreement that they're both never going to change.

Due to that bug, Moira got both.  Sorta.  But hey, I fixed it in Fic.

Since it's kinda a threeway relationship, Zev's somewhat free.  I'd like to think he only really hooked up with Izzy.   Since, you know... Moira tapped that, too.

Was still funny as hell when Anders ****-blocked him though.

Dear god yes.  As much as I love Anders, if I could have romanced Varric I would have in less than a heartbeat.  Bianca infuriates me everytime I think about her getting inbetween Hawke and Varric.  Then I run back to the estate so Anders can take my mind off of varric with his sparklefingers.

Hee! Yeah, I lost my illusions a long time ago. Fandom introduced me to some CRAZY stuff that I would have sworn to you before reading it that I would never have enjoyed. Also... my main fandom's kink meme's tend to make other fandom's look quite sane and vanilla by comparison.

It has nothing to do with idealism and everything to do with self control, honesty and respect. Edit: And to be honest the wisdom and maturity to realize when something isn't for you. 

And...I'm not even touching the marriage comment. Trust and respect play a far greater role in that than one's libido.
