EVERYONE!  I am so close to finding Anders in Fable 3.  I just heard his voice mentioning some delivery in a large crowd of people... now I just need to pinpoint which one he is.  STAY TUNED!

I keep hearing him say "Thanks, can you have it delivered please?" but every villager I click on has a different voice.  I will find you, damnit.

Possible but unlikely. And the fact that it is possible means Zevran can do so. Trying to make him sleep around behind the Warden's back is contradictory to his characterization. 

You'd be surprised what people will agree to despite their better interests. There is a very deeply penetrating cultural expectation of monogamy associated with commited relationships; it's very easy to see the white picket fence, 2.5 children and spotless record of fidelity and think that's what a commited relationship means. Our cultural narrative paints monogamy as something that should be easy, and expected of everyone, and for many people who haven't given much thought to the matter, they don't realize it's possible to have a commited relationship without monogamy. If the Warden is Zevran's first real emotionally intimate relationship, it would be very easy for him to enter into that sort of commitment thinking it will change him before discovering it doesn't. He doesn't have to be dishonest with the Warden. This kind of thing happens constantly.

So telling the Female Warden he was bisexual was in his better interest? (For a relationship with the Warden I mean) And again if it didn't change him he would say so. Also I'm fully aware you can have a relationship without monogamy. I just happen to believe honesty and respect is needed for any kind of relationship monogamous or otherwise to work. If I can't talk to you about how open/closed our relationship is we have far more problems than having an open/closed relationship and don't belong together. 

And yes, Thedas has a different culture, but it was crafted by people who live in ours, which indelibly affects its world.

Care to point out what culture similaries there were? Considering Zevran was quite open with who he was that the thought of being in an open relationship would cause him to lie and decieve the Warden. 

Especially considering if the Warden just wanted to "keep it casual" or sleep with another LI once Zevran hit love he dumps the Warden flat. (or forces the Warden to pick). 

Are you now saying Zevran is A-OK with the Warden only being with him but ra forbid the Warden do the same? (especially considering if you marry Alistair *while Alistair isn't in love with the PC*) he's perfectly okay with discussing it and the impact on the relationship? 

I just say this because I know a lot of people like Zevran, and while the "wild man tamed by his one true love" story is certainly very romantic, it never quite works out that way.

And Zevran wasn't wild as much as broken. But I do agree with the never quite working that way. The assumption whoever that Zevran also is like all the other cases is well...it's a blind assumption based off little evidence. (And hell even has heaps of evidence to go against it). 

Edit: do post this in the Zevran thread though. They'd give you a far better response than I will seeing as they know the character like the back of their hand. 

2nd Edit: And I have no interest in "Fixing" anyone. I can't stand Zevran. I slit his throat everytime I see him. But saying he'd cheat on the Warden? No. Just...no.

At the point where he and Hawke are in a relationship, I think you'd have to catch him on a good old-Anders-y day. He might be happy to go along with it if he thought it would please Hawke, but on a bad day I can see him being far too clingy to contemplate letting anyone else touch his Hawke.

If he's anything like myself and other people I've met with mood disorders, I imagine that sometimes it would feel like you're dealing with two very different people. Not to mention that, in Anders' case, sometimes you literally are. No wonder he thanks Hawke for having so much patience with him.

Heh. These are good points. I got the feeling with Zevran that it might have been more about Zevran's personality.

As for the calling it a threesome thing, I think he just didn't want to think about how messed up it actually is, and that he's the one bringing this extra baggage to the relationship, yadda, yadda.

But I think you're right, ultimately. He's not down for anyone but Hawke. Darn it.

I wonder about that. When he's warning off Hawke (the female one, at least) when you first meet him, he fends her off like she's asking him to take wedding vows, not just flirting. Paraphrasing here, but "not a safe man to be involved with" and "a year or so ago we could have had something," both speak to me like he thinks she's offering a relationship at that point, instead of just a night or two.
I know during Awakening I always tend to think of Anders as someone who's up for a bit of casual, no-strings-attached fun, but this is whispering "serial monogamist" in my ear. Is it a misinterpretation, a change in personality, or is Hawke just inescapably The One?
