AHA, I found one of Howden's characters in Fable 3!  Someone named "Andy the Villager" in Brightwall is definitely one of his.  It's a little higher-pitced than Anders I think, but I really think it's him.  He's not very cute, but I think I will marry him anyway.  Ha HA!

I feel as if the mods are going to come in and kick us for not taking this to the Zevran thread.

So, to keep this on topic... Anders' underwear monuments to you seem to imply he would never cheat on you (except with Justice), but would he be down for threesomes? Er, or is that foursomes?

preJustice - hell yes

postJustice - i imagine waaay too possesive and in love to share

At the point where he and Hawke are in a relationship, I think you'd have to catch him on a good old-Anders-y day. He might be happy to go along with it if he thought it would please Hawke, but on a bad day I can see him being far too clingy to contemplate letting anyone else touch his Hawke.

If he's anything like myself and other people I've met with mood disorders, I imagine that sometimes it would feel like you're dealing with two very different people. Not to mention that, in Anders' case, sometimes you literally are. No wonder he thanks Hawke for having so much patience with him. :?

Yep, I can totally see that. If he was feeling old-Anders-ish maybe, but does that even happen anymore after the point he gets together with Hawke?

I always feel so sad for him when he thanks my Hawke, I'm like, dude, don't thank me for loving you and supporting you. This is not a favor I'm doing for you, don't you know that? But I hadn't given too much thought to how difficult it must be at times, because on the friendship path he seems to be holding it together fairly well in the scenes that we see after he almost kills the girl. But all those years in between then and blowing up the Chantry probably weren't all good times.

He is always honest about him bringing a third party into your bed!

I am... Surprised at how calm he seems during that particular scene compared to the others.

I totes believe in my canonHawke's kinky man/man/spirit/skank terrorist pirate fourway and nobody can stop me. I can't live without Isabela as my third wheel **** hag <3

...Uh...I'm gonna be over there. Far far away from you while you do that to someone else.

Though hey your game is your game!

My canon involves a severely messed up Anders relying on Hawke and clinging to him because Hawke's the only thing Anders has left while Vengeance takes control more and more often.

So romantic.

I think post-Justice Anders would eschew threesomes just because he considers himself to be so dangerous. After three/six years, Hawke knows what s/he is getting into, but I think he'd still worry, even on a good old-Anders-y day.

Agreed. Anders would want to be careful and minimize any possible damage. But since he can't stay away from Hawke, he risks it for him/her. Justice would consider them frivolous and a waste of time. It's a wonder he lets Anders have sex at all, really.

lol seb. Probably had a shameboner.

Aw. I guess it's because you can't really romance her after anyone. Fenris dumps you so you're single and Anders/Merrill have priority.

I wonder about that. When he's warning off Hawke (the female one, at least) when you first meet him, he fends her off like she's asking him to take wedding vows, not just flirting. Paraphrasing here, but "not a safe man to be involved with" and "a year or so ago we could have had something," both speak to me like he thinks she's offering a relationship at that point, instead of just a night or two.
I know during Awakening I always tend to think of Anders as someone who's up for a bit of casual, no-strings-attached fun, but this is whispering "serial monogamist" in my ear. Is it a misinterpretation, a change in personality, or is Hawke just inescapably The One?

I think Anders is just a casualty of being retooled into a cheesy romance novel pastiche here :innocent:

It's sort of interesting how he basically humps M!Hawke's leg but makes a big show of pushing F!Hawke away. I can't decide whether this is some sort of deep commentary on romance tropes or just a blatant attempt to cater to a perceived difference in preferences in straight women vs. gay men/slash fangirls.

Because of the Tower and because he was on the run outside of the Tower, I'm saying he was mostly in for no-strings-attached fun. I think that, after Justice, he's resigned to being alone and, when Hawke stumbles along and isn't repulsed by his situation, he just latches on immediately and he gets caught up in her and...I guess maybe applies his feelings retroactively? Like he feels an intense connection now and assumes that she would have been someone he could be with before, despite his adorable **** ways.

I honestly think he was warning off female Hawke because it's something that women are supposed to find attractive? The whole "I'll only hurt you!" echoes Twilight too closely for me, and seems weird coming from him so early in their (non) relationship.

Ahhh, we're now discussing promiscuity. Good, good.

I'm very proud that my magey LadyHawke just nailed Fenris, Isabela and Anders in a row (Anders didn't complain about sloppy thirds). Just a shame you can't get Merrill into the mix, too.

You can. You just have to boot her after sex.

I don't think Anders would be down for threesomes sheerly because he's so clingy.

That said he doesn't seem to think of Isabela as a threat so maybe he would go for her?

But there's Justice...but knowing Izzy that would only get her more intrigued.

It's too bad you can't ask. Even if you got turned down.

And now I'm wondering if rival Hawke and Justice ever had hatesex.

I blame that entirely on this thread. :pinched:

That's a good point, Isabela doesn't seem to bother him like the others. But I think he's too hung up on Hawke.

However, I hope like HELL Hawke and Justice hate banged at least a few times *G*

I've always wondered about that. After doing my male Hawke playthrough I was like... HUH. This game might be doing good things in the sense of gender not  necessarily= partner, but the differences in the male/female romances with Anders very much made me wonder about exactly how much ground they were breaking on that front. Because it felt very different with a male Hawke. I daresay, Anders even comes across as slightly sexist with a couple of his remarks early on.

Most likely.

See I'm not getting any pleasant images from that. It's all real nasty and has Justice ripping off Hawke's nipples with his teeth before eating them.   Let's not even mention Hawke's other parts.
