hello. i have the same problem with civ5 when i try to start it in dx 11/10 mode application stops working.
so i guess its on my end? but i could not find any fix so far.
i updated all kind of stuff just not bios and motherboard drviers

i got vista premium 64 sp2 all updates.
ati drivers 11.2 newest ones. newest ccc
.net 3.5

i see that there are issues only in the demo and that u guys tell me that you fixed them in the final version and that i should just disable it for now and relax.

but in civ5 i have the same issue with the same error msg pointing out atidxx32.dll
so i really think its on my end and i would love if you could spare some time to help me trying to fix it before it releases
and in both games dx9 is np. my grafic card is the 4870x2 and is dx 10.1 ready.

i added the survey info from the tool in the config options.
i really think its on my end so if u could spare a moment to mayb watch at it if you see a major flow^^

tough this guy cant select dx11. i can. it just crashes. anyway i got the file mentioned there. didnt work since i needed x64 not x84 so i got the x64 file. i will report back. after reboot

strange i got  Windows6.0-KB971512-x64.msu and it told me does not apply to ur system Oo same goes for the x84
confused.
the other guy has the same windows as me

well this means i alrdy have the update i guess. or my windows is broken ;> but i really think its an ati driver problem.
because when i google for atidxx32.dll related crashes, i land on crysis reports that crashed on dx10 mode with ati 8.x drivers and it got fixed in 9.x but ya i have the newest ati drivers guess i just need to wait^^

ya well .net 4 upgrade was there after the msu file i downloaded told me does not apply to my system
i had 3.5 so far
oh and the kb971... i alrdy installed. like i said i can select dx11 it just crashes on startup ;>

should da2 even work on dx11 with a 10.1 ready card? is it an dx10/11 exe like in civ5? or is it only a dx9 and a dx11 mode? shouldnt it fall back to 10.1 alone when i select dx11? oh well soon release then i report back ;>

hm ok the only thing that changed with retail, is that the dragon age 2 logo shows up and it at least tries to start. then however i get the same crash. application stopped working blabla
but again it should work with sp2 and dx10.1 ready card right?
