Replaying DAO and trying to decide between Shale and Sten for a tank or damage dealer role with a fun factor added to it all.  I know, tall order. 

My favorite characters are Morrigan, Oghren and Zevran (though I've never used him in a group) because they're fun and funny.

So with all of that, which would you recommend out of the two?

I like Sten. He reminds me of about half the Pen'n'Paper players I've ever seen; emotionally dull and makes people want to stay faaar away.

I use Sten for DPS and Alistair for tanking.
