Uh oh, okay sit down.

You sitting?

I'm just gonna come out and say it. There's really not easy way. Like a band aid.

Life isn't fair my friend.

This is seriously poor sportsmanship on Bioware's part.
If they want to midnight launch a game @est, then est players who paid for their legitimate copies should be able to go home and play the game they legally paid money for.
We waited, we didn't download leaked copies and paid, now live up to your part Bioware and let us access our content.

I have to wait twelve and a half hours for mine, you can wait a mere three for yours.

Nah, this is completely unacceptable. The point of a "Midnight Release" is to play the game at midnight. So many retailers just did midnight launches for a product people can't play until 3am, many of which will have to go to bed because of work, so what was the point of the midnight launch?

"Pick up my game at midnight or pick it up from school/work tomorrow?" Oh wait, no difference because of this release date check. Lot of people just wasted their time.

Yeah this is ridiculous. What the hell is the point of me going to a midnight release if the game can't be played until 3 hours later.

You live where you live, I live where I live. The point being, They announced Midnight US launch. It's Midnight in the US. I paid, and I want my game. If Bioware does this again I'll seriously consider not buying their products. I understand piracy concerns. But legitimate players want access to the game, and compensation, and the promised time of release is here. They arent keeping their end of the bargain.

It's midnight in one part of the US, not in 'em all.

Any time zone BioWare had picked would've caused this problem.

As i said in the preload unlock topic...

Bioware... I have to say you guys have blown it. I just returned from my local gamestop Midnight launch, have the game installed as of 12:25, my dlc downloaded, AND I CAN'T EVEN PLAY THE GAME UNTIL 3am EASTERN TIME. DRM and securom bs like this is why many gamers have turned away from PC. I spent my whole night looking forward to this and I can't even play it.

I absolutely love Bioware's Games but I can't help but feel like you are treating your fans like criminals.

Please learn from this mistake. And now to take a nap until the game unlocks.

You guys are lucky. According to UPS, my copy is in Portland right now and I live in Seattle (should be at my porch late afternoon; I got a final on Wednesday to study for anyway).

They stated 0000h Military time. That is Midnight EST. No where did they change that active time. Except for in the software they launched after people waited in the cold to get their copies. So any time zone is correct, but BioWare picked 0000h. All I ask is they live to their word and let us access it in that time zone.

You're not familiar with the concept of time zones, are you? There is no such thing as "Midnight in the US".... your country is a huge goddamn swathe of land.. it crosses multiple time zones.

If you wanted more predictable time zones, you should have asked your parents to be born in a small nation that doesn't cross time zones. Go blame them for being born where you were. Or blame yourself if you emmigrated to the US.

My game won't be here for a day or two, likely. So I have no personal stake in this. That said, if you do a midnight release, it would make sense to set the 'release control' to the first timezone to enter midnight. There is then the chance that people in the later ones might get their game early, but it's doubtful. Most retailers abide by rules without silly programs like this to enforce it.

And if they did, it'd be 3 hours at best, in this particular situation.

Sorry but its like Fernando Melo said its the brick and mortal store dictating and place physical rules on the digital versions to avoid a retailer having direct competition. If you didn't want it like this could have picked up the console version. Couple hours and we will all be able to play and it will be there for us to play whenever we want.

Heck, the people going to Biowares own midnight release party in Edmonton won't be able to play at midnight either... How stupid is that?

No. Military time is set to GMT, which is five hours ahead of EST, and eight hours ahead of PST.

I've got zero sympathy for you guys. As I said before, I've got more than twelve hours to go till I get mine. You can damned well wait three.

Thank you, but I'm quite educated when it comes to time zones, thus if you read I posted that they gave an access time of 0000H US time. Which is Midnight EST.
Thank you for attacking me personally, because you have nothing to do but be a fanboy. Hey I'm a fanboy too, but I just stood out in the cold for over an hour to get my copy from my Gamestop, and I'm a bit peeved that the promised unlock time isnt being met.
