BS.
I don't have the time to stay up all damn night. I have a job. I have school. I have crap tomorrow that requires sleep ahead of time.
I wanted that one or two hours of initial play. But instead, I got swindled. I could have just gotten it for Xbox, but since I had the PC versions of DAO/DAOA, I figured I'd stay consistent.
It's BS that there's no sort of warning at the GameStop or even here, where it says 0000hr, that they meant Pacific Time.
I won't be doing another Midnight Launch if this kind of inconsistent BS keeps up.

EA could have sent out a corporate memo to gamestop to inform them, it would have gone down the chain of command to the store level. People could have been informed very easily.
Instead EA gave the thumbs up for midnight launch for their product fully knowing the 3am shut out time, and thats poor form indeed.

Heck, the people going to Biowares own midnight release party in Edmonton won't be able to play at midnight either... How stupid is that?
Do you know what timezones are? Just curious.

i wont be playing till tomorrow because my gamestop didnt do a midnight launch but i did get fugged over with the new vegas launch via steam. thats almost understandable (still BS) but people arent even able to play their PC version?
someone somewhere made money off of midnight pre-orders and they made a conscious decision to cut corners so that everyone in the US couldnt play until 12am PST instead of planning/programming 12am local for EST, GMT, MNT, PST etc...
not cool, period. the folks here paid for their product and their "digital" rights are being trampled.
it happens more and more, and when this behavior is defended, companies will try even more tactics down the line. sure its small now, no big deal, 3 hour wait. but it will get worse, companies will do whatever they want, because they can. i'm not saying its bio, or even EA, but i'm sure its somewhere between EA, the digital stores and the mortar stores...

Yeah this is ridiculous. What the hell is the point of me going to a midnight release if the game can't be played until 3 hours later.
What's the point of getting it at Midnight? oh, I don't know maybe having it in your hands earlier? A midnight Launch is about the game being sold at midnight is it not?

Hey guess what...if you dont want your stuff pirated...make quality products....and do what you said you were going to do. And for fricks sake stop trying to screw everyone over just to get a few extra bucks!!!
I purposely picked this game up at midnight thinking i could play it and try it out for a bit before bed....not install it and stare at the screen for a few hours...then by the time its unlocked....im too tired to bother. Way to start off an already controversial game....by pissing on the people who actually bought it even despite all the changes that drove off so many....
grrrrrrrrrr.......
/rant off
for now....

Y'all do realize BioWare and EA have no control over midnight launches, that done on a store to store basis. The games arrived in most stores Monday, its the stores fault for having the midnight release and not informing PC buys that the game can't actually be played until 3AM, and even then its not their fault. I never understood waiting for a midnight launch, I mean if you pre-ordered your copy should be sitting there waiting for you.
You do realize BioWare is going to a Midnight release right?

You do realize that this secuROM crap does nothing to stop pre-release players right? The vast majority of them have contacts at gaming retailers and could have easily gotten the console versions anyways. In other words their tactic to prevent early play only acts as punishment for legit buyers.

Yes, it will be there waiting for us, but as a former poster said it would have been nice to get the initial gameplay in for people who couldn't clear their schedules. Also I couldn't pick it up during the day for the same reason, I ended up on duty on my campus so I wouldn't make it to GS before it closes. You wait out at a midnight release share in some comraderie with friends and random other people who are excited about the game and then go home to install and play the game. I got all but the last part.

Really? That's how you reply? The point of having the game in your hands earlier is to play it ASAP. They advertised a midnight release, not a 3am release. There is a RELEASE DATE CHECK that states that I can't play until 0300 EST. That's not midnight.
Think before typing.
Thanks.

I've been a paying customer of yours since the first "Baldur's Gate" and "Fallout 1", now though, I understand why some people pirate games. Thanks for giving me the shaft with a time zone. I hope you corporate pigs burn in the fires of hades.

You need to register the game here on this website, along with any additional keys you have. I "think" once you do that all the adon's will be assigned to your account and will show up to download the first time you login the game.

Thats the problem, I AM at my university right now. I walked across the street from my apartment (which is about a mile off campus) to the gamestop.
Needless to say I GTFO out the store ASAP.
