ive been playing BG, the NWN 1 & 2 series, mass effect, jade empire, ect ect ... for as long as i can remember, and been following the progress of DOA for a few years now ... somewhere around the begging of oct i watched a few of the new videos on gametrailers for the first time and i got goosebumps !! ive never been so excited about 2 video game releases in my life ... dragon age: orgins and mass effect 2 will CONSUME me for the next 12 months of my life ... once again bioware will set the RPG standard for years to come
have you ever been this excited over a game release before ?

Actually - no. I met Fallout [NOT F3] when it was already out, as for other games - not so much. I waited for Oblivion, but not as I do DA:O right now.

this is the first in a series of games that I am insanely excited for, the others mainly being Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, both highly anticipated titles, that the blizzard fan-base has been waiting much too long for. Oh yeah looking forward to FF14 as well, since 11 certainly had its share of awesome.

The most excited i have been about a game launch was when Knights of the Old Republic 2 was launched, after all the fun i had with KotOR 1...

I beta tested the original WoW, so was super excited for its initial release day way back when. Also, when NWN2 came out I was ecstatic for the new toolset. Unlike both though, this is an entirely new setting and lore which rather than just waiting on a release day, I don't know exactly what all to expect, which makes the wait all that much more unbearable.

not this level of exitment, the Empire totalwar i was realy exited about but was a bit let down when i played the game.
but now its bioware so i am not that worried. the only thing a worried about now is that i do not know what origin to play first, and that is the kind of problem i want to have:)

All from the N64 days: Super Mario 64, Extreme G, Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time
For PC Baldur's Gate 2 and probably also StarCraft and Planescape: Torment when I ordered the budget version. More recently The Witcher for a short time.

Although I am getting the game on day one I don't feel excited about it at all. The lower your expectations for a game the better it turns out to be. Hype has killed several games and I don't think this game really needs it.

For me Knights of the Old Republic has been the game I've been most excited about. That being said I'm pretty stoked for DA:O. I imagine I'll be just as hyped for Hlaf Life 2: Episode 3 when we start getting actual information on it.
