I've been waiting for this game ever since it was announced 6~ years ago, when I was still playing on a NWN PW named Stormplay with only a basic grasp of English. I was 12.5 years old and my voice was only beginning to break. I practically grew up on NWN and indie RM2K games and now that I am no longer a minor, it seems the company's products have matured with me.
Here's to 6 more years!

Was about 10 times as hyped for Spore... especially during the first "last Sporeless summer."
And after 2 years of time-stopping anticipation and hype, when I could only get by by reading that extra tid-bit in the forums; I was sorely disappointed.
So even if I am not at the same level of "Woo Hoo!", I know I will be no where near as sad post-release.
Thank god there's always Bioware to count on for amazing, hype-fulfilling games.

Well as far as pc games go, my god I'm going to show my age lol. I started with a C64 (if anyone knows what that was) My Bro sent Bards Tale and I thought that was the greatest, couldn't wait for 2&3 to be released. And then it was A&D gold box and I was hooked. Two many to games to name, But I can tell you this is the first game I preordered. God I hope it's Good.

I've waited patiently for DA:O since it was announced back in 2004. Other games for me have been everything from Bioware (never had the chance to play Jade Empire), LoZ:OoT, LoZ:TP, anything Metroid, Dead Space, and Uncharted 2. Still waiting for Half-Life 2: Episode 3...

Yep, same here. Bard's tale , Ultima and Wizardry series on the C-64 for me. Last game I was really excited about probably was Everquest. Followed that a good 1.5 years before it was released.
Since then I usually a bit less excited because you can hype something up so great in your mind , that when you actually get it, it'll never meet your expectations.

So far the game I've been excited the most about was Warcraft III. Warcraft II is one of my favourite games ever and that sequel was driving me crazy. Over the last months leading to launch I would spend hours on a bunch of fansites and the official one every single day. KotOR also ranks pretty high.

Silent Hill series. No game has ever sucked me into its world like SH ! & 2. The series got worse from there, but those first games were great for their time. Those games were unique for a genre filled with hollywood style action-horror. Silent Hill was pure psychological horror at its finest. Id put the fear level of that game against any novel or movie, and chances are Ive read and viewed them all...Oh anyway, Im following and drooling over DA:O in much the same way.

I refuse to be exited about any more games since both Oblivion and Age of Conan were major dissapointments.
I kind of completely ignored dragon age origins other then placing my pre order, but i am excited now that I will have it in two days time, and with PC gamer stating it is the best RPG of the decade, I hope it will not be as a big a et down as other games.
I have never had a single RPG since Baldurs Gate 1 + 2, and Morrowind that I have enjoyed immensely, and Ive spent several years playing each of them, so I am hoping that Dragon Age Origins will be the real successor to Baldurs Gate as it claims to be.

Hypes that caught me:
- NWN2: I bought a new PC just to be able to play it, I was stuck with a PPC Mac before but just had to play it on release. Huge disappointment first, but it grew on me later and now I don't want to miss it anymore (mainly for multiplayer, just like NWN).
- The Witcher: I wasn't as thrilled as when I was waiting for NWN2, but I totally wanted it and bought it on release day. No disappointment, it kinda healed the wound the buggy NWN2 left.
- Mass Effect: Torn... I wanted it because it was Bioware and the reviews were decent, however I wasn't sure if I could get into a space game. I kept myself informed, but only bought it a few weeks after the PC release. No regrets.
Now it's Dragon Age, I guess I'm anticipating it as much as NWN2 back then, and the next game that will do this to me will probably be Mass Effect 2.

I was stoked for Fable 2...and disappointed. Made me not want to get into the hype of another game, but I ended up doing so with DA anywayI strongly doubt it'll fail me too though.

I think the only game that I have ever come close to having this much excitement for was Final Fantasy VII. And I have been excited about DA:O since 2006, so there may be on hell of an explosion at my house tomorrow (if you know what I mean

I have to say I forgot about this game until a week or two ago but it's my most anticipated release in years now. Really looking forward to Left 4 Dead 2 as well. Gonna be a good month for games!

I've been really looking forward to this game for about 1-2 months now. I somehow didn't hear about it until then, but I've gotten myself more and more hyped up each day since then. This is the most excited I've been about a game since Oblivion came out, but I probably was a bit more hyped about Oblivion just because I had more time to prepare for it, and had more of an idea of what to expect from the gameplay.

I must say I've never spent 8 hours playing a flash game in preparation for any game before, nor have I watched over 4 hours of a tournament for any game before. I've seen every trailer, every documentary vid, every clip, and probably spent more time learning about/thinking about this game than is good for me.
This is definitely the most excited I've ever been for any game, ever.

Well I was quite excited about Heroes of Might and Magic V but waiting for DA:O is just killing me. The only game I am even more excited about must be Diablo 3, checking updates every day.

I was more excited when Mass Effect came out, but that's probably because I had been waiting over a year for it. I heard about Dragon Age a while ago, but didn't start hanging around the forums and whatnot like I did for ME until about six months ago. I'm still excited enough for DA that I can't get to sleep, though. I've been up going on 18 hours now.
