I can see why all of you are east coast are upset, I have a friend out there who went to his midnight release. He got the PC version and was texting me that console people got to play theirs right away. I am not big on tech, but I don't think there is a way to block games on the consoles, so we PC players get to wait.

I am lucky I live in CA, so it doesn't seem as long for me, but even if I did live on the east coast and knew this I still would have gotten it on PC, but thats because I prefer these kind of games on PC.

While it is dumb console can play, and PC is locked; this thread basically boils down to...

The inability to see the sticky about unlock times and to plan accordingly. It's not all BioWare/EA's fault.

NOT EVERYONE COMES TO THESE FORUMS!

Is that so hard to understand?  Many took a break just to avoid spoilers, some don't go into the main forums anymore and stick to groups, and a lot of gamers don't belong to this site period.  So using this "they had a sticky" is just a stupid argument.

What's stupid is not checking stickies / announcements and doing your research, and then complaining.

If you were worried about spoilers, don't click those threads. Seriously? You are blaming the company for doing nothing wrong. They didn't even have to make the game, or release it on the 8th, then you'd really be complaining.

People amaze me.

O lord... you just don't get it.  I don't come to this side of the forums period anymore.  If I am here, I am in a group.  But I also have a life, which LIMTIS MY TIME HERE PERIOD.  I also know plenty of DA fans that are not a part of this site at all.   Your reasoning becomes all the more pathetic with that simple fact alone.

Next time think... it might help you actually bring a valid point up.

So you don't have time, other than tonight where you magically have time to come on the forums and complain.
Your lack of time is not EAs fault. As far as you not coming here, that's 100% your fault and is a personal decision.

Next time don't tell me to think, because I am thinking just fine. Personally flaming me saying I have no valid points is not only against the rules, but somewhat rude of you to say. I didn't mean anything personally, so calm down 'Tiger'.

You had the resources available, and your inability to use them was your own choice so it constitutes no fault of EA.

I only had time because the time I CLEARED TO PLAY THE DAMNED GAME is now open because of this bull.  Critical thinking much?

And next time get off your self righteous horse and realise only a fraction of gamers get on forums period.  Your point was dead on arrival just from that simple fact alone. It amazes me you actually think a sticky on a forum that so few people visit is a legitimate rebuttal.  Actually no it doesn't... it is the reason why the general forums are a joke.

Also, chill out with the "do your research on the forums" crap. You call a game retailer, they say the game goes on sale at midnight, you purchase game and install and are locked out.. The breakdown in communication is not the consumers fault. Bioware posting a sticky in some weird online forum is not adequate for regular people. I shouldn't have to do "research" when the games release date is "March 8, 2011. Most people tend to take things literally. Enjoy your goofy ass forum.

Your own post proves my point.

The game release date is "March 8, 2011". Exactly. They don't have to release it for you at 3am, hell they could unlock it at 5pm if they wanted.

So ungrateful...

So aggressive, for no apparent reason. I don't want to feel belittled by you any longer, and my ability ro read is not a "self righteous horse".

If this is how you talk to people in the real world, I see issues and jail time in the future for you.

So people are morons because they want to play a game which they bought on the day of release (but cannot because it is locked for a borked reason)?

And you coming in with your condescending attitude for those of us that don't hang around on forums all day and actually have lives is any better.  Yeah, sure... believe that if you wish.

Get it through your skull.  A sticky on a forum where only a fraction of your consumer will access is not a good defense.  Your reasoning is bad.  Your ability to read has yet to impress me.  You keep missing the obvious facts that prove this.

Amazing how the concept of time zones eludes people.

Guess what folks, even though it may be 3 AM on the east coast, you're still playing it at the exact same time people on the west coast get to. Incredible! Hard to believe, I know, but the Earth isn't rotating or orbiting the sun any faster for us west coasters than it is for the east coasters.

You're assuming people stay up all night to play it. Now instead tons have to wait until tommorow or later.

Oh the humanity! You won't be able to play the same demo level tonight!

It could be worse, you know. Have you ever thought about how messed up elections in the US are for people on the West coast? By the time our polls are in prime time, the most populous half of the country are already announcing preliminary results, which can have an effect on voter turn out in the remaining open polling locations.

But oh, hey, let's get all bent out of shape over a damn video game. Incredible.

Anyone else think this guy is a first class idiot? Regardless of time zones if you can play the 360 and ps3 versions now whereever you live in the US...then you should be able to the pc version too...verry ****ty planing on EA's part.

I was okay with this until I found out that it's for PC only. Why the hell should 360/PS3 players be allowed to play while we aren't?

I'm ungrateful because I went to a store in the middle of the night to purchase a game at an event called a midnight launch. I bring game home, can't play it. I'm sure you have plenty of free time while you are going to community college and living at home but for the rest of us, buying a game at midnight is a big time investment. Go correct someones grammar or whatever it is you forum trolls do.

You can play it on the day of release. It's March 8th for another 24 hours.

Bioware can suck my left testical, preordered the game from Gamestop, stayed up for the midnight launch, planned on going to SLEEP at 3am, which would give me 5 hrs of sleep before work...and at least 2 hrs of game time! But nope, ****-grabbing money mongers had to ruin that plan for me.

Thanks again Bioware...from now on, Blizzard, Squenix and Bethesda will only be getting my hard earned money for their RPGs!

I dont know about you, but my time is very valuable to me.  I dont usually have 2 hours on any given day to ****** away for nothing; I work a full time job and have other commitments outside of work that place a lot of limits on how much time I have to play games like this.  I planned this evening in advance so I could take advantage of a midnight release (something I dont normally do) and now a signifigant piece of that time is being wasted because the time check can't possibly account for different time zones.  AND console versions are already up and rolling.  I agree with the concept behind a release-date check, but this was poorly executed.  There's no excuse for a company like bioware to allow this kind of oversight from securom.
