I am curious, are you able to level and add talent points, etc., during this part of the game?  Reason being, during Mages Asunder, I got to 5000/5000 to level up to lvl 8, and it's stuck.  It is staying at 5000/5000. 

Is this normal or am i stuck?

any help would be appreciated.   Thank you.

I leveled in mine. Did you patch the game, I did not.

yes i downloaded the 1.01 patch.

I checked. First save at the start level 7, end of magi tower level 9. So I can confirm it is suppose to work. You tried the usual things like reloading savegame?

I was able to go from level 7 to level 9 in my first run of the Circle of Magi quest arc. I did not have the patch and I saved each time before leveling.

The only other thing I can think of is that I have read that if you do not spend talents upon leveling up on the PC version that you may not receive attribute points for your next level, which is not exactly the issue you're having but maybe it stems from the same source?

I did reload a saved game. I guess i'll go back farther and see if that fixes it. I hate the idea of losing all the progress I made before I noticed I was stuck at 5000/5000. I also had spent all my talent points when I hit level 7.

Save that game, just in case, in a real saveslot.

I normally save after each major kill. I guess i'll become more obsessive with saving. And make better titles so I know where I am.

I started the my character from before I went into the fade, with the same result. Still stuck at 5000/5000 and cannot access any talents for level 8. I will next make an alt and see if that one can level. This is very frustrating.

do you have the toolset installed?

No toolset. Would that cause issues like this?  I did make another rogue.  This one has had no problems leveling up. Very weird.

Has anyone figured out what is going on here?  I have the same problem with the 1.01 patch but no toolset.  I have reloaded a saved game, shut down Dragon Age, restarted it and then loaded a previous saved game.  I just sit at level 7 with 5000/5000 experience points and cannot level up.
