The program or feature "\\??\\C:\\Dragon Age 2\\bin_ship\\DragonAge2.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity (it's spelling, not mine lol) with 64-bit versions of Windows. please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit windows compatible version is availible.
Now when I try to press play, nothing happens. It asked for permession to launch something right as I told it to play, and my antivirus seemed to freak out then it gave me that error above. I have a retail copy from gamestop, the signature edition.
I'm on Vista 64 bit, going to try to reinstall again to check to see what pops up and write it down, as well as having my antivirus off.
POSSIBLE FIX

I've FINALLY solved my problem. The
reason why Windows 7 was saying that it was incompatible with the dragon
age2.exe file was, I think, because of my AVG blocking the dragon age2
activation and listing it as a Vundo virus.
Now, what I did was I
went to AVG settings, went to the "exceptions" tab under Resident
Shield then added this line to the "add path" tab:
C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalTempmtka_tmp
That should unblock the activation application. After that I just authenticated and activated my copy of DA2.
Hope this helps!
P.S. Dunno if this helped too, but I downloaded and installed the Nvidia beta drivers too.
Also, uninstall and reinstall the game, people have trouble getting the authentication application to run unless it's a fresh install.
