Having that same problem. My Origins disk was EU though, so I'm curious as to whether that would make the data unreadable to a US copy of DA2?

Got this reply about trying to import my saved data:

"I have gone through your issue and I would like to inform you that the Save game data for Dragon age is Copy Right protected so you will not be able to import or export the save game file. Unfortunately you have to start the game from the beginning."

Copy right protected? You're supposed to be able to import it so I'm not quite sure what they mean by this :/ Looks like I will have to start with a loldefault story line ><

I'm assuming it is because of the region difference, but would like to know for sure :/ I will start again if necc. Sucks that the warden is now male and didn't marry Alistaire and live happily ever after lol also don't want it to affect anything to do with Morrigan if they did put her in this :(

Was lookin forward to getting the Epic trophy early too :(

Your problem is indeed related to the region difference between your PAL version of Dragon Age: Origins and your NA version of Dragon Age 2.

But mine are from the same Region (2), and same PAL, and it says I don't have any saves, what's not true, how can I fix it?

I'm having this issue too... this is totally unacceptable! I really don't think it is a big deal importing some saved game data!

I have the same problem, bought my DA2 copy in the US and even asked the clerk if it would work on my PAL ps3.

On the side of the game box spine near the bottom there should be a number. If your Dragon Age Origins game is region 1 but your Dragon Age II game is region 2, you will not be able to import your saved game as they are formatted differently for the different regions.

I am having this issue as well. I spoke to tech support today and they told me the region should not cause an issue. Has anyone had any luck solving this?
