I guess I will use the "No Compromise" for my first playthrough and by the time I finish my playthrough, maybe there will be a patch.

Yeah, me too! I only had two playthroughs to import anyway, and I plan on playing Dragon Age 2 three times. I'll play "No Compromise" with canon Hawke

Someone should re-post this in the technical support forums... Bioware needs to see this.

They know it's in the known issues readme on the PC-DVD.
Still knowing BW I don't expect a patch sooner than in a few weeks.

They already know about this issue and it's even stated in the readme file of the retail game DVD? I don't know what to say...

Does it particularly say DA:O saves or any saves? I'm currently preparing an import save for DA2 and I finished DA:O last weekend and I'm halfway through Awakening to be ready for the 10th.

- In some cases, characters in conversation make inaccurate
references to earlier events in Dragon Age II or to the events of
Dragon Age: Origins, if you imported a saved game.

Is that how the first patch went? I can't really remember, I just know that after each update, it would take longer and longer to fix.

Erm... don't know in which timezone you are, but it is already released in america if I'm informed correctly. And the problem is still there.

LOL This is stupid. The same thing happening that was in the unlocked demo with the imports.... Fail because that means they didn't even try fixing it as they said that the demo is an "old" build

if you haven't noticed, it's the 8th already.

You should stop being stupid and actually read posts before flaming

Could've been easily avoided if they released stand-alone import utility, or at least allowed editing choices, sigh.

No clue what you are trying to say, except that you don't think the problem is the import which i think is actually the main problem.

Yes, i know. Thats why they should've allowed editing your choices, so you could select any story you wanted.

What would that change? The game messes your choices up WHILE your playing. Not at the import/start, but in the game itself at different points. And these false flags than carry over in the rest of the game.

Such a feature exists as far as I know. It does not help the issue however cause even data that was not imported from DA:O (like early DA2 decisions) may get lost if I understand this right.

Uhm guys, i think youre all mistaking here. The OP said the import is messed up if you keep choosing a different import. Then Stoomkal assumed it meant that it means that the games gets corrupted as you go.

Stoomkal wrote...

No... the saves will import fine... and then the data will start to become corrupted - apparently.

The OP said that the further he played, details started to be changed.

He posted this a few times throughout the thread, and now youre all taking it as facts. So unless im missing something here, like a post from a guy that has the game, i think youre overreacting. Sorry if its just me being dense, and im not saying Stoomkal is a troll, i just think he made a mistake.

If they haven't fixed this by the 10th I suppose I'll just have to pretend I'm playing some alternate version of the history I imported, then play the proper one on my second playthrough (by then it should be fixed, I hope...).

This should not have passed the QA.
The game went gold too soon (that, and the textures pack not included on the DVD).

So how does this work and how do people notice it? You start out, import your save, the game tells you how you performed the DR and all that just like you did. Then, even though everything seemed to work fine, you talk to Aveline at one point later in the game and she basically goes "yo, remember that warden who refused Morrigan's ritual and then died? What a fool, haha!" ?
