Then later in the game, you notice that these "flags" are not the same anymore,
How do you notice that exactly ?
What is the way to check your choices/flags from DAO after the beginning of your playthrough ?

The important question is, has anyone reported this in any of the technical support areas?
If you havent than quit complaining about it, the way i see it. Well unless you dont have DA2 and just giving your opinion. But if you have your DA2 registered and havent posted this issue in your respective DA2 technical support forum than please dont complain here.
Would you please actually read the thread? This is a known issue.
I read the thread, i am just not sure if people are mentioning this in the technical support threads either or what not. And if its a known issue why didnt they have a patch ready for it.
Like i said on page 3, if its as bad as you guys are saying for when i start my copy up later today after getting it at gamestop. I will just play Pokemon White. I hoping i miss this error like i missed the ME2 PS3 game freezing during autosave.
I understand you, but people without the game (like myself. poor, poor european
Still i have the need to discuss the problem because I would like my game to be free of this bug, when I get my copy. So I'm stuck with this thread.

TallBearNC mentioned over there that he used the debug console to check for plot flags and saw that the import flags "were not there", FWIW. Don't know if that means they aren't available, or aren't set.
Have to say, even the 50% chance (or whatever the poll's up to now) that my imported data will be mishandled/mangled (not to mention choices I make within DA2 itself!) makes me really hesitant to start a game with an import, only to play XX hours and find out that it's borked...

Did you play (or replay) the end of WH with the 1.1 patch? If not, you won't have the final autosave that happens after the end of the game.Omnibladex wrote...
I'm setting it up to import now and when I look at the plot summary from the game I want to import it doesn't show my decision for the end of Witch Hunt. I'm looking at the right saves but the most recent is outside dragonbone wastes, is it supposed to be like this or did it not save properly at the end of witch hunt?

The relevant tech support thread is here. Not that any devs have posted to it with information.

Devs haven't shown their faces on here all day the mods are trying to handle crowd control atm only, with no answers or updates or solutions from the devs.
I think you pretty much got spot on with what everyone else is felling with this import bug/glitch/bad coding. Not only is it offputting knowing you might get XX hours into game and find out the game itself decided to change what you imported detail wise, but on top of that alot of us invested 40-60+ hours extra time making the ideal remake of original DAO savegame to import which now most likely will not work and all those hours are like a slap in the face which makes it more annoying.
On top of that the rumours that it may be corrupting and changing DA2 plotlines/flags as you play too from what you chose to some random other choice it pretends you made.

Hopefully some response (will be patched, here's the solution, a debunking, anything) will come by the end of the day.

So. They messed up the import feature from Origins to Awakening before..they messed up the import feature into Witch Hunt..
And now even the DA2 import feature is messed up? :/
Remember, part of buying any software these days is that you will be paying the publisher for the "pleasure" of doing the actual beta testing for them.

some sort of verification of important flags like ME2 had. With all the
import problems with DAO, DAA, and the DLCs some of my playthroughs are messed up. For example on one I apparently
didn't import from the Post-Campaign save, so after having played
through DAA, and WH, and importing into DA2, it tells me I never completed DAO. And sure enough there is no info on whether my char made the sacrifice etc.

Would like to know - but besides that I agree (obviously) with everyone here; this needs to be resolved fast.
At the very least one of the Dev's should comment/inform us at this point.

The decent thing to do would have been postponing the game until you know it works flawlessly instead of knowingly selling the customer a bugged product. Of course, this isn't exactly new in the gaming industry, but I still didn't expect such a thing from Bioware.

It seems to be happening on all 3 platforms.

Indeed it does. But does the issue persist if you import a DA1 savegame, or does it exist no matter what you do(Relating to the DA2 Plot Flags corruption)
The Readme says:
- In some cases, characters in conversation make inaccurate
references to earlier events in Dragon Age II or to the events of
Dragon Age: Origins, if you imported a saved game.
http://social.biowar...1/index/6384886
That sounds to me that it can screw up DA2 Flags no matter what and DAO Flags if you import a game
