I play with a 1680 x 1050 native resolution monitor, and I have set the game to that resolution. The aspect ratio is set to 16:10.

I get black bars on the sides and it makes perfect circles into ovals, squishing the visuals together.

How do I get rid of these black bars? I have tried disabling aspect ratio correction, as well as enabling it. It does not change.

I have a Radeon HD 4800 series video card, Windows 7 64 bit OS, and I have not had this problem with any other game before. Is there some sort of shortcut command I can put in to make it play without the black bars at 1680 x 1050? Can I force the aspect ratio correction through Catalyst Control Center?

The only thing that seems to "work" is playing in windowed mode, but even then, the screen is offset and disturbed by the Windows bars.

Can you try Aspect ratio 16:9, or alternatively set it to AUTO?

Bare with me, I haven't got the game running yet so I don't know the options. :innocent:

Also I remember having this issue with Crysis and an ATi card, had black bars all the time despite correct resolution, correct aspect ratio, and every other game and desktop was working fine. I remember hitting ALT+Enter (the windows short cut for forcing video into full-screen) a few times and eventually it worked for me.

I hope it helps.

Im guessing you're playing on DX11? Currently there is an issue with that specific resolution not working properly (its being interpreted as 1600x1200). So until it is fixed you can either play at any other resolution or play under dx9 - whatever is easier.

I tried the lower 16:10 resolutions, and the aspect ratio, although scaled down smaller, still was off. I switched to dx9 now, and that has fixed it. Thank you so much! I really hope that dx11 fix will roll out soon.
