I have the same problem with DLC, as well as the HiRes texture pack installer. Does not recognize a Steam install, even after the Steam install has been decrypted and run once.

Yeah, I just ran into this problem too. The high-res texture pack won't install for the same reason...

Did you try running the game yet? Even if its unlocked steam still needs to do its first time play install.

It works for my wife, with an identical software/hardware configuration and Steam install, but not for me. o.O

I got it to work. Close Steam out completely then relog into it and run the game. Close the game and try to install again. Should work.

Yup. Decrypted it, ran it once and everything. Still can't install DLC or the high-res pack.

How do you reinstall without redownloading?

Quitting out of Steam and running it again didn't work either. What I ended up doing was backing up the entire game folder inside of steamapps, then I uninstalled the game. Then I copied the folder back into place and told the game to redownload. It instead found my folder and reinstalled. Now I'm able to install the DLC and everything is peachy.
