for future reference i was getting crashes trying to start the game in full screen with latest drivers from ati. the way i got around this problem is thus,

start steam client
have steam client update ati video drivers
voila

don't know which version of ati drivers steam utilizes but running an older version of catalyst seems to do the trick. just remember to have steam "update" your drivers again after a restart.

I had this problem in Rift and now I'm having it here. The display drivers fail during the game and you have to restart the client. Is there a way you can check which version of the drivers you're running?

open up CCC and click product summary at the bottom of the menu then click software. That is assuming your running the latest revision of CCC because they changed it from a tabbed view to more of a browser of sorts.
